Why am I disapointed?

    I played the 3r yesterday afternoon on stars. I played great making good reads great laydowns and some sick calls.

    I ended up finishing 3rd and felt no joy what so ever, just disapointment.

    Anyone else experience this?

    Seriously tho...if u play a tourny and make the FT and arent disappointed somewhat by not winning...you prolly dont have the right mindset for tournament poker

    Know how you feel. I don't know how much I'd have to win for me to not feel gutted that I didn't win the tourny when i made it that deep.

    But you obv played well to get there, so just think and positively and the 1st placew ill soon follow.

    Speaking from experience, nothing besides first is satisfying. When I finished 2nd in the $400k on FT for $52k I felt disappointed because I felt like I could have won, and that is always the goal. Now after a day or so of course I am not that disappointed by the finish given the amount of $, but if you do not feel disappointed about not winning a tournament at least for some period of time then I seriously doubt if you have the right mind set and competitive level to do well at poker in the long term.

    Know that feeling...

    Was at the FT of a 2.75 donkfest couple months ago when there are 6 left, I am 5/6 with 180K blinds at 10K/20K when I get JJ in SB. Folds to the button, who pushes around 150K. I obv shove as well with JJ. BB, who had 300K calls us both with AA. Button had A2 of diamonds. I am thinking, "OK, at least have AA hold and I will leave 5th for $206 rather than 6th for $156." Thats a big jump for someone like myself building up. flop 34X rainbow (one diamond). "Fade the 5, fade the five!!". Turn diamond, river diamond. A2 of diamond, the shorty, triples through. GG me. It was my biggest cash yet and it made me sick.

    Being objective, if I were to brag, it wouldn't be that $50 bucks makes a difference in my BR. Thats more saddening than anything.

    Well youve probably won alot of money before and winning 1600 bucks or so means nothing to you. When I finished 3rd in the 15K a few weeks ago I was very happy. It was my biggest cash ever, I didnt finish 2nd so I didnt get owned HU , and Im a micro donk so 1600 bucks is alot of money to me.
