  1. I believe that I am one of the few people in America that actually enjoy playing poker at bodog. The structures are very nice, the overlays are nice, I have even found a way to deal with the software (if you can imagine that). Ideally I would really like for some people at bodog who actually make decisions in the poker room to read this list. Of course this will probably never ever happen because what I am about to say makes sense......

    Why BoDog Sucks:

    1. The three table limit is about the craziest thing I have ever heard of. I have read rumors that this will change with the next update, so maybe this is already on the agenda.

    2. There just aren't enough MTTs at bodog. Let me specify, there are not enough guaranteed tournaments running. While there are a lot of "beginner" and free rolls, there just isn't much to entice the mid-level players to come over and play.

    3. Each night there is a pretty big buy in MTT that only gets like 50-60 players. Also, this is the same group of players pretty much just passing each others money around. Whatever happened to the $109 that was there?

How BoDog Can Suck Less, or Not Even Suck At All:

    1. End the three table limit, that is a huge turnoff to a lot of folks I am sure.

    2. Add more MTTs with guarantees. They do not have to be huge guarantees, just more guaranteed MTT's. It seems to me that $25 + $2.50 and $50 + $5 are the magic numbers for mid-level players. Throw some double stacks in there in prime time and see what happens. Get rid of the dumb $20 one, the $30r that gets like 50 players, just a thought. Also, whatever happened to the two $109s with the awesome structures per day? Now at 4pm PST there is nothing to play really, and this is prime time on east coast, that makes ZERO sense. How about making the 530 $15Ks the same price every night as well? That thing is terribly confusing, I have no idea what the buy in is on each night. Basically your entire MTT schedule is a giant cluster that needs to be un-F%$KED.

    3. Lower the buy in and raise the guarantee of the 11pm EST MTT, even move it up an hour or two if you have to. Make it $69+$6 or $100 + $9, something, it is very annoying seeing the same players night in, night out.....

Of course I do not expect anyone to listen or care about this, bodog is a sports book first, poker room second obviously. My point is it really seems that bodog poker has just quit and fallen into a funk. There is nothing innovative or creative coming from bodog, nothing that makes people want to come, or even stay for that matter. I am not a rocket scientist, but keeping poker players happy seems pretty freaking easy to me.......

PS. Please do not flip the doom switch on me for speaking my mind!

  3. Email support ftw....or ask to speak w/ a poker supervisor (or director) and voice your opinion....it will get you further than posting a thread imo
  4. LOL @ the canned response...

I know that they are expecting to increase the #tables allowed soon, at least the email that gets dumped to my SPAM folder said so...
  5. crackn-

I love playing on Bodog myself so I'm responding with what I got.

I don't think you really want this and I'd wager they don't increase it any time soon. Why? With the problems that are in the software (whatever they may be) imagine juggling 8 tables wit the potential for all the issues. Although you may have figured your way through them, I can just imagine the service nightmare that would occur for most people.

If I were them I'd be very cautious about not expanding the table limit until I had this fixed. From several lengthy talks with them about payout issues, this subject came up and it sounded like they were indeed leery of expanding the limit for the sw reason. (My take on it, not an official statement from them.)

The schedule does have it's moments of weirdness that is for sure. I agree that most of the re-buys are dumb because the guarantee to the rebuy ratio is too low. $3k gty with $10 re-buys or even a $15k with $50 re-buys just seems dumb to me. Might as well just make it 1r1a.

I actually like that the 530pst (830EST) changes buyin every night. Or at least that it drops to $44 and $50 some nights since I'll play that but I'm not playing a $100 $15k. I'm gonna take a leap and guess they are trying to offer variety. This may work for some and not for others.

But there is a clear bias towards making the fields 150-300 players. Apart from the nightly $5k $10 you've got the $6k for $20 or the $5k for $30 later in the evening which are going to get 150-300 players.

The $10 5k regularly gets 450-500 and sometimes goes over. So yeah, why not say squash together the 6k and expensive 5k and just make a $20 10-15k?

I'll at least give them credit for the 250k last week There seemed to be a lot of enthusiasm around it and the rail was crazy with people. Clearly there are people who do want stuff that excites them - I'm with you there.
If they could get their act together on scheduling and fix the software they'd have a shot at grabbing some of the competition since everyone is having troubles right now. And this is the time to eat the competition up - for any one of the rooms. Everyone is F'd on payouts, so why not fix the stuff you can?

Poker supervisor.director. Those guys seem to get the big picture even if they may not hav eresponsibility for the given thing you ar talking to them about. Thye helped me on a payout thing and had the big picture in mind and the ability (and willingness to talk and to bring good suggestions from teh player to others to look at.

  7. Believe it or not, many of the best players in the game got their start on Bodog, and I am guessing that many of those same players have stopped playing their on a regular basis (once in a while an overlay or or their Sunday major).

And the reason they've stopped is (IMO) that Bodog doesn't care about poker anymore. They were suppose to make numerous changes (games, software) - but they never really did what the poker community wanted. They make enough off the sportsbook and casino.

Its a shame as I had been playing their for years. Now - its actually my 4th site behind stars, FTP, and (gulp) UB.

This is the point I am trying to make, it seems like they have just quit competing. I am fine with that as long as they just say "hey, we quit" or something..... These people who say email them, I did, I just want them to be able to see threads of people voicing their issues is all.

  9. I think the real reason people quit is bc we want our damn money!
  10. I personally love Bodog and always have. The people there are just so awful that I'm willing to put up with the horrible software and long payouts to make some extra money. If they were to make a fix the poor software and the payout issues, it would be enough of a start to show at least some effort. Their customer service is still second to none and they still have some of the weakest players on the net. I love their mtt blind structure as it allows plenty of time for play.

I'd love to see them pull through and continue to gain players, but I feel like their greatly anticipated software fix with resizeable tables was a bust. I still have to deal with the same number of random crashes and now this broken hand history bs. Regardless of whether they are making great money on their casino and sportsbook, they are really missing out on a lot of money by not making the most of the their poker site. It wouldnt even take that much work to fix a few minor things. But even after all of the downsides, I love Bodog.

That is totally off. They got people that answer the phone right away, sure, but do these people know ANYTHING? Every time I call in I'm continually put on hold, sometimes they'll even call back, and THEN this chick STILL doesn't even know what I was complaining about? GTFO- It's a facade, really..."Great customer service" requires more than just answering the phone and passing the buck and emailing back right away with one of their typical 'go fuck yourself' answers

Took me a while to figure this out... but I tend to agree.
