1. First off I'm a relatively new micro stakes player. I play small volume when it comes to mtts. I come to P5's to try and better my game by learning from more experienced and skilled players than myself. Why do people post replies to HH posts that are nothing more than smartass replies? What is the point? Does it make you feel better about yourself? I was just reading a post by a guy who held QQ and didn't know how he should play it. So another newbie like myself decides to tell him he should die... Obviously he may not be serious but what is the point? Why be a jackass about it? Better yet why even respond?

  2. Let me answer your question with a question: why do they post their hand advice question in Poker Discussion instead of Hand Advice?
  3. See, there's never a shortage of smart ass replies.

All too true... I post my hand advice in Hand Advice section but the reasoning for posting there is because it gets much more feedback.

that is the one thing that tilts me the most... but I guess it would cut down on half of the PD traffic so they let it continue

  7. Welcome to the Internet where anonymity breeds douchebaggery. Take it all in stride.
  8. P5's is part of the internet, so you're going to have plenty of trolls. It's just the nature of the internet. It bugs me (and plenty of others) too but what are you going to do? It's the price you pay.

And you will get good answers to questions if you post them in the Hand Advice section. There are a several people over there who like to share advice, ranging from low-stakes people like myself to six-figure winners like Deoxyribo, and very few trouble-makers.
  9. def 3 bet/call

  13. Everyone thinks they are real cool over the internet and it's annoying as fuck on this site when you are legitimately trying to get help/advice and people are d-bags. People decide for you whether or not your thread is legit, when it's none of their business if their not interested in the topic.

  16. nope. just useless to make a whole thread whinning about it. maybe since drewdaddy19 made the 613th thread on this it will start to change. or maybe he will get a sticker for being cleverly observant.

  18. How to get the most out of your posting experience:

    - Ignore the trolls and flamers.
    - If someone gives you advice (even if it's snotty) then pretend their post was attitude-neutral and ask them to expand on their thoughts if you don't understand why they gave you the advice they gave you.
    - Be willing to accept criticism. Pride doesn't win you money. Making yourself better at poker does.
    - Help other people a lot so they are willing to help you.
