At the final table of the Tier tournaments on Full Tilt? There is no tourney in real life with a mute button, why can I not talk at these??????
-
Because the site decided it was to be so. They have a switch that can be selected to curtail chat at any table they like. In real life it is much harder to silence a disruptive player.
-
I really really hate this, one of the things that ruins online poker.
Final table at the wsop, NO SPEAKING! -
It is so people in sattys won't be tempted to collude/cheat. It is waaaaaaaay better they disable chat than to have to deal with a collusion email every other satty they run. I approve of the disabled chat.

talking people into making stupid calls or talking to where people think im an idiot, is part of my game though it just sucks thats all, easy solution is just to not play them anymore
-
The cheerleaders and rabblerousers have nowhere to ply their trade. Boo hoo.
-
It's to prevent BS like one player saying to anotehr "okay, check it down to eliminate this guy now"
-
I approve of the disabled chat.
F'n colluders. -
I hate colluders too, don't get me wrong, just didn't know it was a big issue before they made the change.
I am more scared of people colluding over AIM then in a chat box, I can police myself in the chat box and report colluding at least
