i was pretty much dead on with his range.. havent been at the table for too long.. i thought he might give me credit for a 2 or 5 in my hand since i called pre from the bb, i decided to make it look like a was slowplaying a monster if i check called the flop and i figured best case scenario he would check behind on the turn, this would give me some pot control and let me know for sure he was pretty weak so i could lead out on the riv for pot and make it look like im betting for value. is this just a redic loose call or what did i do to make him think he might be good here?
  2. Some people don't fold AK for whatever reason or an A on a double paired board, so you may have just tried to bluff the wrong person. However, a busted flush draw takes this line as well. I think a smaller bet on the river, say 600, is a little more believable though.

Take note and value bet the hell out of him later.

    agreed
  4. I agree with the sentiments above.

1: It looks a little fishy, like a busted draw.

2: A smaller bet would be more believable (and save you $$)

3: This guys stack was big enough to play sherrif, especially since he's getting 2:1 and the odds of someone bluffing at that should be higher than 33%.

4: Moves, no matter how good, don't always work. :)

This is good stuff here, remember when you bluff you want to think of the least amount of chips you need to bet to get a player to fold.

Also bluffing helps to balance your range and will get your value bets paid off, so don't feel too bad when you get caught.
