Jesus Christ, you'd think I would have some discipline by now. Been playing for 4+ years online and I still have a blow up every 6 months or so. FOCK!
My aces get cracked and then I just lose it.
Poker is 100% patience and discipline and you need both everytime you play.
It hurts worse when you say to yourself... "I could've just bought a phat LCD TV with that money!"
Fucking Ghey ldhflsh faj sdf;askjd hfsakjdhf! -
sucks man, but to be sccessful at poker you cant think in terms of "shit i coulda just bought..."
mental lapses happen, donked a bunch yesterday also, but inside of my roll -
Cosign with the patience and discipline statement.
If you don't have these you will not be a profitable player in the long run.
I did this for 2 years before i learned. Your going on 4....ouch...well maybe this will be the time you learn...
good luck -
Nothing tests your patience and discipline more than getting your aces cracked, it just plain sucks, also having a horrible last couple of days but was able to log out instead of going to higher limits like i've done so many times in the pasts.

If you're playing within your bankroll it's no big deal. Reload and keep on trucking. Until you learn to play within your comfort level you will never suceed. Coming to grips with the reality that it's all one long session is key. Being able to quit loser is also very important, because you're not going to win every single time out.

i wish i did it every six months way better than monthly, last time i did so was monday, will hopefully be the last time for month
standard month
- deposit 200
- turn it into 2k-3k playing sngs and some cash
- get drunk
- play 5/10 omaha 2 tables
- wake up
- have .15 cents remaining
- oh damn
- quickly followed by resolutions and 7 day ban on all sites
weeeeeeeeeon
a 7 day ban atm, gg pokerEZ -
You might be overplaying your bankroll then....just a thought
-
i was on a 35k+ downswing and i drove by a inifiniti dealership and i told man friend man i shoulda just taken the month off and bought a g35
-
lol brag obv. guess i just wish i balled and lost sweet cars monthly...
-
i agree, friends of mine CONSTANTLY play way out of their bankroll all pissed off after months of playing disciplined. and you can't go 'dude that sucks blah blah blah', you gotta kick their ass about it, or they'll keep 'taking a shot' and end up flipping for half their rolls. It's their own fault, it's a tremendous weakness in mediocre players and its why they never end up moving up to bigger games.

I had this happen a few times, although didnt completely lose my bankroll and actually turned up ahead at times.
Solution : BR management to the extreme
If you have like 5k or so in your account but 6 table NL50 and you aces get cracked, its likely not to affect you if you instaed had like 500 in you raccount. Its sooo much easier to move on from a bad beat, cause its only 1/100 of you br, and you have 6 tables anyways so just another hand.
Another solution i found was keeping part of my br on epassporte.. -
oh maybe get your chat banned on purpose.
just alking to other players would tilt my a little. and after months of basically trying to get my chat banned they finally banned it, and its sooo much easier to move on from a bad beat -
This is good! If many many players did not do this, how the hell would the cash trickle up to the high stakes players? You are just part of the ecosystem. Carry on.

Nothing wrong blowing off a little cash in a poker game. Remember when we use to play poker to have fun? Next time do it at the $1/$2 table and stop when you have dropped $500. That way you won't feel like a total donk the next day. If this happens more then once or twice you have a major leak in your game.
