  3. Sympathy. Reassurance that they played the hand ok.
  4. they dont think you want to hear the story in fact i am pretty sure they dont care if you pay attention or not...

its usually just to vent..to get it out of the system...

or in my case, i tell people my bad beat stories because i suck and thats all i have...
  5. If the person is a friend of mine and I think its going to help them get past it and be able to play poker on an even keel again I will listen

I also tell a lot of bad beat stories as well I reserve it for 80-20 or worse though.

After watching the poker after dark with Antonio and Matasow and Mike went to tell a beat story and Antonio says Mike nobody likes to hear bad beat stories I vowed to do my best to not tell beat stories
  6. I rarely tell bad beat stories if ever. Why? Because i realized that by telling said story it wasn't going to change anything and that no one truely gives a damn anyway.

  7. People don't think that you want to hear them, they need to get them out.

Sadly, many don't see the BB forum. Even more sadly, there's no BB forum at the tables.

    Get on it, Harrah's Entertainment!
  8. I fucking hate hearing bad beat storys on AIM.....but unfortuanently i bitch to other people to so who am i to crticize
  9. If I didn't have friends to talk to about beats (and hear from), I'd fkin shoot myself or go insane LoL... seriously though typing in the following : ASL;DFJADSLKFJASLDKFJASLDFJASLDFJASLKDFJASDLK;FAJS DFKLJSDLFAJ;DFK really gets a lot out of my system and keeps me off tilt so I can move on to focus the next hand. Having friends to share those stories with is very helpful and I never complain when a friend wants to vent back at me. And what's wrong with receiving a lil confidence when u just got busted out or lost a huge pot ???

  10. the only bad beat story I'll tolerate is 1% chance on the flop or lower, or 90% to win
or higher in the FT bubble, or top 3 bubble of a tourney

otherwise, I've seen them all and don't care

like for instance, you flop a set with 1010, and 99 hits runner runner quads and you were 3/15
in a 110k tourney going all in against 2nd place

    thats a story
  11. that's a story alright... story of my freaking life... j/k :)

i pm'd spectrefax with some of my bad beats from tonight, i recommend everyone do the same... he's a good listener
