  1. (My first post in Hand Advice)

This is an obv shove in my book, and MR's are never in my arsenal on the bubble. So what am I missing here?
BigAl is never RF this, so why the MR? Is it +ev to MR the middle of your pushing range to entice a light 3bet?

  2. He's enticing someone to coin-flip. Since you know he's not r/f, you elect to coin-flip (no Fold ?Equity) vs his probable over cards.

It just doesn't work in your favor, this time.

You have gone through the blinds & could have waited for a FTA pushing situation with some Fold Equity.

You pays your money and makes a choice. If you win this hand, you are the chip-leader ITM, and have decent odds to win.
  3. Don't like his mr here at all, and don't believe he should be encouraging action with this type of hand.
  4. The min-raise is shit, and I'm guessing the Villain isn't all that good at dah pokah. He's not trying to entice anything...he just doesn't know what he's doing. You edited it off, but I'd be willing to wager this is a $5 or under SNG.

There's little debate on the right way to play the bubble of a SNG when it comes to push/fold stacks and ranges. Min-raises ain't it.

  5. It was a $20 turb and I see a lot of bubble MR's at this level. It throws me off because ICM doesn't really deal with MR's. The first time someone does it, it's tuff to put him on a range. I usually read it almost as strong as a shove. In this case I would have folded to a shove, but the MR just looked like a weak steal attempt.
