  1. Just a quick update. . .

Below is the post I made on September 2nd, early in the morning. Around 12p central time the same day I got a phone call (it went to voicemail, I was in class) from some guy who said he was the head of marketing for Doyle's Room, he said he wanted to know more about the situation (as if there is not enough posted) and that he would try me back later and try to rectify the situation. It has now been a month and a week almost and still no call back. Just one more AWESOME customer service experience with Doyle's Room. These guys are sweet.

    ----

I'll try to make a long story short. . .

About six months ago I was playing on Doyle's Room a few times a week, and apparently for them I was putting in high volume. By just about anyone else's terms, I've never put in high volume, but according to them I played on the site more than most people. I stopped playing on the site for a few weeks and as a result I received an offer to the Sunday 100k guarantee, so long as I made a deposit of somewhere in the neighborhood of $150. Basically, I thought, WOW! I was pretty pumped to get a $200 seat into a tourney, so I make the deposit and was told to reply to the e-mail about which Sunday I wished to play in. I replied well in advanced, I checked constantly, and e-mailed numerous times and I never got the seat. I spoke to one guy, whose name I forget, about 15 times and he offered me next to nothing. I let it go, and decided I would not be playing on Doyle's Room anymore. . . .

Here's the next go round. . . About 2 weeks ago, I get a phone call from Erwin Leer, V.I.P Account Manager, Erwin@DBPN.com<mailto:erwin@dbpn.com>. He told me that Doyle's Room had a great offer for customers right now, I said, "Well I don't play at that site anymore." His response was, "Why?" I said, "Well I got screwed over before so I don't play there." Again, "Why? What happened?" So I dive into the story, about the Sunday 100K seat and he responds instantly, "Well that won't be a problem, just give us another chance, and I'll take care of it. No problem!" So needless to say, I was more than a little surprised that after weeks of calling and finally giving up, a few months later I would be getting the seat, and another sweet bonus. . . After a few seconds, Erwin explains he will send me an e-mail with all of the details of the new bonus offer. . . .

So I get the e-mail that evening, and I make a deposit of right around $100. With this bonus, I got a seat into the $10K rebuy, nothing special but I just wanted to see if I'd get F--ked again. . .

After the DP I send an e-mail back to Erwin as the bonus offer instruced me and told him I made a deposit. He said great, just let me know when you would like to play. I responded to that a day or two later that I would like to play in that Sunday's (8/23) 100K and 10K. I didn't get a reply until Tuesday. . . After e-mailing him again, saying I didn't get the seat and that I was pretty pissed. . . He responded with, I guess I misunderstood you I thought you meant the Sunday Grand (a freeroll btw), if we owe you a seat to the 100K I need to know why. So again, after explaining to him on the phone less than a week before, I explain it all in an e-mail TWICE!!! I e-mailed him three days ago, and asked if he planned to respond otherwise I would be making posts on P5s, 2+2, and any other forum out there. I e-mailed him yesterday around 6:00p and gave him 24 hours. . . So here I am. . .

Fool me once, shame on you. . . Fool me twice, shame on me. . .

All in all, I guess I should have known this was too good to be true, but it still pisses me off. It wasn't even mine to begin with, but then it was offered, I took it and didn't get it, then offered again. . . FML

    - If ya want e-mails, I got em.

EDIT--I failed at the short post thing. . .</mailto:erwin@dbpn.com>
