    wouldnt this cut out 90 percent of cheating? play with your own money and make your own withdrawals and deposits!

    cuz without it high stakes would be virtually impossible, or at least extremely anemic fields, and even at every other level it helps the game expand by making it easy for people to start an account....i myself have never deposited onto stars or FTP i started my accounts with small transfers from friends....also it wouldn't stop cheating people would still find a way to multi account

    I am glad there is an option to transfer money from player to player without charge. This comes in handy when you cant deposit, or want to swap funds between different sites. Consider this... guns are responsible for killing a lit of people in this country anuallly if we just banned them wouldnt this solve the problem. Well then the only people with guns would be criminals and the innocent people would have nothing to protect themselves with. Cheaters will always find a way to cheat, its in their nature. If you take away tranfers than im sure that they could find some other way to get around the system and it ends up just hurting the honest people who follow the rules.

    I have a bunch on stars, my buddy is low there. He has bunch on Full Tilt, I am low there. We ship each other a few hundred on each respective site. Transferring is especially helpful given the difficulties imposed on U.S. players by the UIGEA.
    Transferring is not cheating.

    eliminating the transfer option would decrease traffic signficantly.

    i understand the "convenience" of it but wouldnt it be just as easy to make an instacheck deposit or echeck which shows up instantly.

    It would be like banning rolling papers because people use them to smoke marijuana. It does nothing to reduce marijuana use - they'll just find another way around it.

    I would be unable to play if it wasn't for transfers, this idea needs to burn cause itll never happen. To many people, including myself depend on it to play.

    because I am married and my wife doesn't like me depositing money but my single friends that play can transfer money to me and then I just pay them.

    Since I am pretty much a donator you definitely don't want me to go away.

    i just dont get it when people say i cant play if i cant transfer. i deposit and in 2 mins flat it shows up in my account. i still stand by the fact that it would eliminate a lot of shady business going on.

    convenient for swapping action, chopping & last longer bets. Oh and to help my US buddies that don't have a European bank account to deposit (give me check, I deposit and ship to their account).

    Cheaters could still play Hu and "lose" (even though chip dumping is not allowed).

    stars makes money off this cause people spread their money to their friends for 1 reason or another and they get more ppl to play thus more rake.

    how are all of you people that suggest this so retarded? HSMTTs simply would not exist. There would not be enough people to play them, the guarantees would continuously not even come close to being made and the tournaments would be dropped. you realize people go through 15-20k a week in buyins, right? and there are deposit limits, and also, its incredibly hard to deposit. simply cannot happen.

    i mean this thread has happened many many times i feel, or if not then the idea

    I tried using my bank account and it wouldn't work. I then used our credit card and the credit card company actually shut down our card because of it and we had to get new cards and redo all of our direct deposits because of it.

    Took a little more than 2 minutes so hopefully they don't take it away.

    If we played $10 buyins and only had to deposit $100-$500 then yes. I only play midstakes ($50 cubed, $20 rebuys, $100 freezeouts) and I go through almost 1K in buyins simply between stars and ftp from 10pm to 1am every night I play. I think stars has a weekly deposit limit of 3K/week. Math adding up yet? Imagine for those who play the 1K's and 100r's and put in a ton more volume than I do. Try playing those with a 3K/week deposit limit and no transfers.

    They should keep the transfer option. Seems like tracking transfers is one of the primary ways they catch not only the cheaters, but those who aid and abet the cheaters.

    You know, the people who claim not to be involved in the cheating because they only take from or provide funds to the cheaters, so the cheater can either play while they are banned or stake someone eventhough the staker is banned. These are the people are who are too stupid to know they are doing something wrong and act surprised when they get banned. Who me? What?

    Keep the transfer option. It is the cheese for the stupid cheater trap.

    just stop and think what you are saying, you can only put $500 in an account from an echeck thats not even 1 full nights worth of mtts.

    Great annalogy here spanky, you hit the nail right on the head with this one. Just because a few misuse the feature doesn't mean that they should punnish everyone and take away transfers.

    If they got rid of P2P transfers, then chip dumping would become the optimal way to transfer money. Is that what you want, untraceable transfers?

    you are assuming poker sites really care about multi accounting etc...they do to some extent to make the community happy...but if it ever started cutting down on rake...
