  1. So I am scheduled as of now to go to Vegas for 5-6 days play a WSOP $ 1500 and a Venetian Deep Stack.

I would like to extend my trip to make a total of 12-14 days. However, I don't like being away from my child for so long. If I bring my wife and child what is there for her to do in Vegas with an 18 month old?

Any suggestions? Staying at the Venetian comp so the room isn't the issue its her entertaining a child.

    Thanks.
  2. strip club
  3. probably better off leaving them at home... just a thought.
  4. shopping and pool..really nothing for a kid to do there

  7. Life story about to be shared so here it goes....back when I was 14 my dad made the bright idea to take my family out to las vegas for christmas vacation...to be fair my mom just passed away and we didnt really want to be at the house...i brought a friend and my brother and his friend and my sister...lets just say their is nothing to do for 14 years old...besides the Pirate show...circus cirucs...was cool...went to like game world and plaid video games...went shopping....the pool of course....got food poisoning...pucked for a day straight...loved being offered advertisements to strip clubs...hated every time walked thru a casino security guards always giving me a hard time...im like what should i do not walk thru the casino since that is the only wat to my room....but besides that worst vacation ever...dont take kids to vegas ever....
  8. I am in the same situation. Last year I had the child at the Grandparents and just had the wife come out. This year its just me going. Really after 1 or 2 days and when they dont see you except for 9am-12pm they get really bored....

Stayed at the Venetian and even had a close friend of my wife out in Vegas. She was still bored.......

  9. the kid's 18 months old. anything could amuse her.
  10. I honest to god can't think of one thing to do for an 18 month. I don't have kids or anything so I haven't exactly been looking out for that either. Surely there's some kind of play place around here.

For the wife there are spa's and shopping pretty much everywhere on the strip
  11. Two words: Circus Circus
  12. Thread Title= Bad News Bears
  13. just bring an extra 1k and let her see a show everyday, she will love cirque de soleil.
  14. just have her come out for like 4 days. make one of those days a day off from poker.

Okay, I'll totally admit I misread that, bon. I read "have her come" for 4 days straight in which case I seriously doubted the OP would have any energy at winning at poker...

  17. Las Vegas is the last place you want to bring kids
  18. I have a 3 year old now and I cant remember what the age requirements are (maybe 30 months) but the orleans has kid's quest. Google it and they have a site.

My kids love it.....runs about $8 an hour.

In vegas they do require shot records and stuff for first time visitors, so call and find out.

I think the palms has something similar but its much smaller.

Also check Red Rock. Its a drive but they have something for kids also.

Again call and check the age requirements.
  19. Take you family with you, just remember to make time for them as you do poker. Everyone will have a great time and just in case you go on tilt, your child's smile can make it all better.

    Good luck in Vegas--
  20. ur better off going without them unless your wife is like ecstatic about going, shes the one babysitting the 18 month old in one of the worst places in the us to take a baby. (boarding on a plane with 18 mo babies in general seems retarded without good reason)

  21. 18 months is still a freaking baby. They don't even know where they are, just throw some toys in front of them and cartoons. It's your wife thats gonna go nuts living in a casino for 2 weeks.
