While I was settling down in 2 tournaments on Full Tilt I made a wisecrack remark to my wife yesterday evening and in typical wifey fashion, she took it a little more seriously than I had perhaps intended her to. She said to me "that’s -ev karma for your poker you realise. Now you’re going to lose all your chips!" "Wow honey, that’s a bit rough". My quick witted fine specimen of wife then proceeded to slowly walk the staircase swinging her hips to the sound of my fast and furious mouse clicks. The look on her face said “take a look at what you’re getting none of tonight you fat bastard” and into the upstairs darkness she disappeared. Leaving me, the Full Tilt Fat Frowning Panda to ponder what possibly could have been. I continued on with my 2 tournaments the $2.25 Rebuy with 186 runners and the $3.30 Knock Out with 401 runners and crossed my fingers that the –ev karma curse would not take effect. As different stages of each tournament progressed I realised that I was within reach of making both final tables and shifted gears to allow myself half a chance at achieving this feat which to date had only dreamed of. By tightening up the way I did and many players often do around any bubble, I sacrificed a lot of chips in both tourneys but accomplished my task and made both final tables. The rebuy was first and I entered the final table arena the shortest of short stacks, but having won tournaments from this position before I knew I had it in me for a good finish and about an hour later took out the last combatant heads up for the win. The sweetest of short stack victories. In the meanwhile I was fiercely battling over table captaincy with European hardheads that didn’t want to give an inch or a pot or even a small blind away. I eventually got into a raise, reraise, shove situation with a player holding 22. I was holding AQ but would not win the pot bowing out in 6th place. I was pretty proud of my achievement of not just the rebuy win but the double final table. And yes I did creep upstairs and wake up the wife with the news and in typical wifey fashion purred “I knew you would win”

Been married for 13 years so yea i guess in a way i did shame out, however Im not 17 any more and when faced with the choice of wife and 2 nice chip stacks, then i guess wife has to wait till tommorow. Pokerorpokeher hey. lol. Was actually a mini brag on my Double Final Table but i guess i shouldnt have given the lead up i did in my story. Not on Pocket Fives anyway.
As far as waking her up about the $300 win, well i guess it wasn't really a wake up over the $ more the achievment. And shes woken me up in the middle of the night to ask questions about an infommercial
that on top of the chance if she did Jacky Chan my ass we would more than likely end up where we left off.
Pictures of my lady on this site with this crowd...mmmm dunno if i really want pics of my wife being used as fap fap material by you degenerate gamblers..lol

she's right about one thing your a fat bastard J/K
Nice Doubleheader
did u atleast play around with her box when she was sleeping -
Great read, I loled.
But #1 --paragraphs please
#2 --- Please stop tightening up on the ft table bubble just so you can inch up pay spots. Thats a big leak imo. You even said you know other players were doing it. Take advantage and chip up to put yourself in better position for the win.
But congrats on the accomplishments, I'll see you in the mid stakes in no time! -
I don't see why you'd want to tighten up. Ok, you won $50, where, if you didn't tighten up, you win, what $10? So, for that $40, you pretty much cost yourself a good chance to win. I hope you enjoyed double final tabling, I'd rather table one with a good chance to win (though, you ended up winning the 1, probably would have been easier with more chips).
Also, maybe I'm nuts and I'm a low stakes player ($10 games and under usually), yet if I had a shot at $300 or sex with the wife, I'm taking sex. It's a sure thing. Sure, you know what your getting, but that isn't neccessarily a bad thing. -
can't believe your wife says "-EV" lol
