  1. wow sirmad got a good deal being the shortie
  2. bad chop by Giamp

    blur5f6 had 60 mill.. got 1.145..
Giamp had 30 mill got $830,000
Sir mad had 15 mill... got $805,000

why would giamp settle for only a small percentage more when he had double the chips of Sirmad?
2nd was $890,000 anyway...is that a terrible deal on his behalf or what? i think sir mad got very lucky to pull that when 3rd was 690k....
  3. yeah sirmad got the best deal with being so short n making better than 3rd place finish.
  4. I'm surprised no one ever even thinks about playing for more than the minimum in these deal situations. In this one for instance they could've locked down something like 1 mill, 850k, 750k and played for the rest which is about 250.

  5. sirmad out. 22 v giampps 77.
  6. so was that just what he went for or would the others not take a better deal for him?
  7. wow shocking deal for giamp wtf!

sir mad and blur got awesome deals shitt

  8. sirmad kept wanting more but blur was staying put around 1,115,000. giampp also mentioned he was tired.

  9. Huge 100mil pot towards Giampp A4 vs A3 board: 8s 4h 7h Ac 4c.

Giampp wins. Think he wins the extra $48K + the jersey. WP to him. Thought blur5f6 would of won it tho =P

Then 1st gets 48k more and 2nd gets 18k more.

GIAMPP ships the jersey and $48k more for a final $878,000 and blur5f6 gets 2nd for 1,163,000.
  11. thing is i know if i was in the same spot i would probably end up with a bad deal. the guaranteed 140k more would mean a lot to me and maybe this was the case for him? who knows
  12. true, but all said and done they all won in excess of $800k so i mean i'm sure none of them really give a fuck right now as to whether or not it was mathematically correct the way they chopped

  13. He got a decent deal. He was the worst player at the table, by far.... Both players knew that and he was probably aware of that as well..

I think all players got a good deal towards there skill level.

Congrats to Giampp to take it down. And blur's A3 was really unnecessary and he could have TID so easy... Shame :(.. He played awesome though!
  14. who says making only one entry in a huge/tough field MET is -EV lol ;)
  15. just realised blur5f6 is blaire hinkle, the same man who won a wsop bracelet against james akenhead with a silly allin and hits this sick flop----> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-fRaTnpd9mE
  16. people always rip on others deal making, let him do his thing. sirmad only had 40k in winnings prior to this and 8k profit, i think his d*ck got hard when he locked up over 200k more than 3rd thats huge money for almost anyone. There's is always the what ifs... but seriously 200k over 3rd is lifechanging for some
  17. My name is Blair Hinkle and my older brother is the one who played Akenhead... I won a $2k 10 days later though... As for the A3 hand I thought he had a big draw obv he had 2 pair and I admit I messed up. Would have been nice to win another jersey but chopping for 1.145m when the ICM said I should get 1.075m works for me. I also wanted to say congrats to everyone else who went deep in this monster tournament and to Giampp for his first jersey.

+1, congrats blur, enjoy the cool mil!
  23. very cool of Blair to come on and post to clarify about his brother and to 'xplain himself with that hand

    congrats to him

as for the chop, it's up to Giampp to stick up for himself. looks like Blair got Giampp's extra dough - wonder if he'll pay it back out of respect for the win?
(would insert giant smiley face here IF P5 had such a feature)
