I use a D-link wbr2310 router. When connected to Poker stars or IPoker I am getting disconnected or have long lag time. When I am using Full Tilt this never happens. Do I have to change something on my lap top or is it the router?
Has anybody has this or a similar problem? Is there a better router for online gaming?
Thanks -
First one to answer this question properly is a mega-geek loser tard!!!

i have not had this exact problem but the setting on my laptop was set to "power save" option and when i would use it without it being plugged in to the charger it would disconnect from pokerstars or fulltilt

power save would have nothin to do with it....
check to see if you are using more then 1 wireless connecting device...this happened to me where i would be connected to the internet and get cutoff and then connected back through a different option, WINDOWS does control your internet or i also have PRO/INSET wireless as well....so i would first check that in Control Panel ---> Administrative ----> Windows Wireless
hope it helps -
I have owned a gazillion routers....NOTHING comes even close to the Apple Airport. It's not cheap but it's soooooo worth it. Buy it immediately.
In case you're wondering the apple airport acts as the hub for the following devices and very very rarely has problems...you simply cannot beat this router!!
4 Laptops
2 Desktops
3 Xbox 360's
iPhone -
FWIW, running Vista power in anything but "performance mode" tends to mess up the wireless stability so power save could definitely be contributing.

Sounds crazy but that is what it was. I changed from power save mode to performance mode and I have not disconnected...yet anyway.
Thanks for the help.
