1. unbelievable. it's really just amazing
2. Annettes post in this thread and the free hand history are probably two of the most insightful things every posted on this site and worth the cost that any of the major learning sites charge for their instruction.

Honestly annette, you probably could have posted the first 20 hands and started "www.omgannettepoker.com" and charged people to listen to your ideas and watch the rest.

Not that i'm suggesting this, what you are doing is amazing and commendable beyond words, just saing you have a goldmine here you are sitting on.
3. ^^^ Agreed Vesper.

That was definitely the best free poker lesson I've ever had.

Very impressive Annette, and mucho thanks for sharing.
4. yeah you truly are an amazing talent thanks a lot for making it free.
5. incredible

6. ^^^^ I feel bad for this guy
7. An amazing feat. This definitely disproves the notion that at lower limit tournies there is increased card dependency. Its all about position/chip stacks/opponents etc. Also, gg if you have to show down! lol
8. holy suck out city. Textbook positional play. But I've never sucked out like that in my life. crazy lucky with all due respect to your obvious talent. p.s. i learnt alot though ty Annette you rule!!!
9. I just tried this on a 6 person turbo and was first one out....

Then I tried my first 9 person right after that and took it down....weeeeeeee sooo sickkkk
10. Well done Annette!!! One quick question. On hand 162 what where the minimum odds that you were looking for to make the call? I imagine that you were pretty close to calling there.

11. I'm not hating here. But keep in mind this: It just proves she was lucky for one tourney. Any blind squirrel can find a nut, but if the blind squirrel finds another one, that is truly an accomplishment.

Great that she did that, but guess what, I see and I'm sure everyone see bad players win a MTT every now and then. Guess what until they do it again, it means absolutely nothing and they were really lucky for one MTT.

Agression yes is a big key but agression with luck is why she won. I remember one night on Bodog in $4.5K, a big stack maniac had a bulit a stack to about 45K with the blinds at 400/800 or less. I have 9K chips and pick up AA in position, and he makes his usual over the top raise to about 7K. I shove my stack in and he flips over 45 off, flop comes 445, GG me. The maniac went on to win the tourney.

When she wins another 180-person blind, that's an accomplishment and then we should think she's the greatest poker player since Stu.
12. umm your an idiot...obv you did not see her folding AA KK KK and AK preflop...she wasnt even getting paid off on her premium hands...so yeah ur theory goes out the window. the reason why she won is because she knew how to bet people of hands for the most part...clearly you did not see how many pots she took down with pure aggression which is SKILL.

EDIT: i would definately bet 1,000,000$ that some fish that is down a couple thousand or watever...clearly a bad/terrible player...would NEVER EVER win a 180man tournament playing blind. EVER
13. What theory?

Fonz87, you and I have played in enough MTT to know or seen the heaters some go on and win a MTT. Did she play great poker? Yes when you knows how to play poker and when you win it's always great, too.

Aggression is part of the person's game or skill, but aggression does not make you a great player. An aggression player is an easy target to take all their chips unless they are aware of the things that great players like Annette and any other player who's ranked or won multiple MTT know about aggression. But playing aggression blind and winning with weaker hands is more luck than skill when you do it the first time.

I'm sure she will try again, and I'm sure she will come close to winning another one. So a FT playing blind again would be very impressive, but somehow I don't think a $4 180-person regular, who knows what she did, will let her run over them again with pure aggression, when they know she's playing blind.
14. Just make sure youre not playing over your bankroll, okay? Im just looking out for you.
15. Lol i tried the same thing in a $109 freeze on stars two nights ago... build up to 10k at 200-400 but a reasteal and a bluff went wrong so i busted couple of hours in. Actually worked really well in the beginning and im pretty sure i could have gone deeper if i really wanted too. Experimenting is def worth the money that i lost doing it :)

16. I have to say though, while it definately says a lot about your play, being able to take it down without even seeing your own cards speaks volumes about what kind of play you can expect in MTTs like these.
