  1. Call me a total dumbass but I can't figure this no doubt easy equation out. When looking at ROI% on Sharkscope, we can see the ROI is given over our buy in exclusive of rake. eg 5000 games, abi $10 (say all games were $10 bang on), ROI%= 10% showing a profit of $5000. But now we take off the $1 rake per game, leaves us at $0.00, break even. Only we're not break even. We do in fact have loads in our poker bank. How the hell does this work?
  2. I think you may be interpreting their stats incorrectly on two fronts.

    1. Their avg. ROI takes into acct the rake. So if you played exclusively $10+$1, your ROI would factor in $11 per tournament, not $10.

    2. Their avg. ROI is just that: an average. It is not your total ROI. If you are mostly playing tournaments whose buy-in is very close to your abi your average ROI will be the same or close to your total ROI. But the wider the spread of buy-ins you play, the greater the possibility your total ROI may differ greatly from your average ROI.

Sharkscope talks about this on their FAQ page as well.
