  2. if we banned em for 2 weeks or a month i think it would get there attention. but we all to greedy
  3. sick beat, sorry to hear man.
  4. A site that makes millions of dollars a month from us should at the very least have 24 hour customer service. Not say they have it but actually have it and make them easy to contact. Even if they have to leave Phil Ivey to answer the emails.

So, you had your power cord close by or in the area close by you where you could have maybe sat out a hand and plugged in the power cord to your laptop to prevent the battery from dying while you were playing?

IMO, you should be mad at yourself and not mad at FTP support. Next time if you go deep in a tourny, keep your laptop power cord plugged into your laptop so this doesnt happen and you wont have a need to contact FTP's support.

Agree with this. We all know Full Tilt Support is total shit and the worst around. After all there are several threads a a week about it. However surely you should have had your charger handy if your planning a deep run in an MTT
  7. Fair enough, should have had lead plugged in.

However, from what I read (especially on here) Full Tilt support is still a joke. Was it not one week ago Jon Turner whom is a red pro, emailing support and in need of help due to a hacker dumping money on a cash table and no help came?

More than enough reason not to play on the site in my opinion.
  8. What happens if someone is in similar situation to op and has power knocked out on pc? To try and hurry up and get back on they jump on to their room mate's laptop and their account is blocked for security reasons. Same result. Whether OP is at fault or not isn't issue, it doesn't change the merits of what he is saying. I have never been more disgusted by a companies customer support/service than I am by Tilt. Sucks because they have some of the best tourneys accross the board out there and I loved to play there.

    Agree.
Too many responses are quick to tell the op how to avoid the problem initially.
That does not take away from the problem of poor customer service.
  10. FTP has TERRIBLE support, old news either dont play there or accept the realities of it and the potential consequences /thread
  11. Plan the boycott now.

    +1

This is how the world changes. If everyone excludes (or a large number players) for a full day or two it would get their attention. And TBH a day or two off for you grinders might be good for your brains and body.
  13. It's so ridiculous that FTP does not seem to understand that their terrible support is a huge issue and it costs them a lot of money!!!

How FTP can not see these things right in front of their eyes ?

  14. It amazes me how many threads there are each week about Full Tilt's shit support. We all know they are terrible but no one does anything about it. If we want full tilt to change we need to take action ourselves. If people keep playing on their site they won't give a shit. We need to boycott it for a couple of days. Maybe they'd take notice then!
  15. I don't mean to be a dick here, but you are smart enough to win a sunday million for like 250K, but you can't tell that your laptops about to die? I've never owned a laptop that didnt at least give me a 10-15 min window to let me know it was gonna shutdown.

All things considered I am glad to know Full Tilt has security measures in place to prevent people from selling their accounts, or letting someone else take over for them when it gets down to around the Final Table.

FWIW, I absolutely hate Full Tilt support, its the worst in the business, but some of us in the states have few choices of where to play.
  16. i didn't really realise that companies can be successful with the kind of trashy service that Tilt have. its just beyond belief. can some balla out there please move to the carribean, invest a few hundo thousand in a poker room that accepts US players, and has decent service+security+selection (see i even came up with a slogan).

honestly you'll make squillions a day and only have to worry about stars.
  17. They get away with their shitty support b/c their customer base continues to grow at the same time.

Schedule a week or two when we ALL boycott and I think you'd notice a difference.

  18. Yeah I am pretty fed up with FTP myself. I was planning on just continuing my ironman while grinding elsewhere, but I think I may just let the ironman expire as well, not like it's a great promotion to begin with.

Honestly, rakeback and traffic and a good tournament schedule are the only reasons to play on FTP. If you don't play tournaments or don't have rakeback there is zero reason to be there, go to Cake where they have better rewards and phenomenal customer service.

It(s just lazy people blaming others instead of themselves for their faults, dont even bother.

The situation happened here because FTP still recognized his IP address logged into their server, so Im pretty sure his time bank was going off. While his bank was going off, he is not allowed to log into another computer while his IP is still connected to FTP server.

IF all of the power went out, the router and the modem would go out as well and the IP would be disconneted from the FTP server allowing him to connect somewhere else.

    Charge your shit, nuff sed.
  21. I thought about this again yesterday as their shitty software was tilting me. We're honestly the worst/stupid consumers apparently. They continue to offer substandard software and support, yet we keep flocking to them. I understand the draws are the player counts which lead to sngs that load faster and larger field tourneys. I just don't know if I can take it anymore. I was so close to pulling my money off yesterday, I'm just sick of it, and I don't think i'm alone.
as far as a single day boycott etc, unless you got a massive organized attempt together it would be futile. Not to mention if it somehow came together people would def go back and clean up on the overlays.

I mean UB/AP cheated how much off of people? People still flock there to play... I just don't see how a singular boycott will help. In the meantime I do remain on the edge of quitting FTP until they at least acknowledge and start trying to fix things.
  22. When...not if online poker becomes legalized will be the end game for FTP support to improve. They will lose business when more U.S. friendly sights become available who really appreciate their customers and knows how to keep them happy and at minimum at least respond to emails.
  23. But it is the only site that lets me when flips deep
  24. Yea ftp support sucks, but boycotting would do nothing because only like 5-10% of ftp's customer base reads p5s/2p2, and the other 90% are fish who could care less about support.

  25. I closed my ftp poker account for the above reasons. It sucked because I had much more success there than on stars. Part of me wants to go back in hope of the mtt success I experienced there and another part of me says that I shouldn't go back to a place that will instaban your chat yet take two weeks to get back to you when you uncover collusion at a FT with a 5 figure first prize. I know that me leaving will have 0 impact but it makes me feel better nonetheless. If they would get their act together I would love to return.

  26. if ur emailing ftp support i wouldnt expect any responses for at least a week, they are a joke and slow.

  27. Yep no suprise in the OP. THey truelly are lame.

I hade some fish try and do me out of a deal once there.....before the days of deal making on the table. Despite him initiating the deal and then saying if support wont come to shut down the game winner just transfers the money to the loser and we play on as normal for a %age of it. Guy then obviously wins and keeps the money. Catch him on another table and he says its against the rules to chop and I should know this.

I get screen prints of every conversation and send huge email to Full tilt. Took 6 weeks for them to threaten the guy enough to get him to transfer the money.

That was my worst case with them. Mainly as I couldnt instantly contact them. Not having 24 hour support is laughable for a company their size. On the plus side I moved to stars 4 motnhs ago and much prefer it so slowly dwindling a roll down on tilt before closing it for good. The service just does not match the time and money I put into the site in the past........not to mention my continual donkey raping when deep in a mtt with AA.

I was in the pca lobby playing and my cord did get disconnected, my comp only has 10mins of battery so it ran down. So i ran to my friends computer and when registering they blocked my account. The point is there was nobody to help me. There was a guy in the lobby that told me the same happened in stars and they let him back in after 30 hands. 30 hands!!! Fulltilt took 10hrs to reply to my emails!!!

  29. Agree with you....if you have any problems that need help quickly ur basically SOL on ftp (aka Jon Turner's thread as well). I sent them an email asking for an xfer list for 2009 about a fking week ago and got nada.
  30. Anyone who thinks this is OPs fault must actually be retarded. It's his fault if he misses 5 hands while getting his power situation sorted out. But at the end of the day, Full Tilt took his money as registration for a tournament and proceeded to block his account midway thorough. That's more than bad customer service...they flat out stole his equity.
