  1. What do you think is the worst way to get knocked out of a tourney?

Personally I think having identical hands and losing to 4 to the flush is by far the worst way to lose.

Had 4500 chips in the 2nd hour of the Pearl tonight when my K K runs into K K.

Well 500 hearts later i lose to the flush and get crippled to 300 chips. gg me

  2. an overpair vs underpair spiking set on river is worse i think, also waiting patiently for a hand to make a move like JJ shortstacked only to run into AA or KK is pretty heartbreaking
  3. Flopping top set with JJ and a rainbow J rag rag flop... getting it checked to you, pushing in cause you know he will call, then he calls with KQo... wtf? yes KQo... no flush draw, no straight d.. wait a minute.. he does have a staight draw

    turn 9
    river 10
  4. Being punched in the nose by a transvestite. :(
  5. I had quads get beat by better quads on the river once, gg me
  6. i agree that 4 to the flsuh is the worst way to go out. Seems more like a kick in the nuts because you both have equal hands.

I have been knocked out LATE in big buyin tournaments twice to runner runner quads.
1.) held QQ; flop AQ5; all in against AK; turn A; river A
2.) held JJ; flop AJJ; all in against AQ; turn A; river A

    those were pretty bad
  7. worst way to go out = playing like shit
  8. No no no. Worst way to get knocked out of a tourney is by Tiffany Williamson.
  9. The one I seem to run into a lot is where I'm ahead on the flop, then the other guy catches one of his outs on the turn, and finally the river comes up to give him an absolute monster. One example I saw the other day in a SnG was when KK ended up all-in preflop against AA. The flop came up blanks, but a K hit the turn, followed by another K on the river for quads and one seriously cracked set of aces. I wasn't involved in the hand, but man, a hand like that sure would suck.
  10. Getting knocked out by Dannenman, Stillman or Williamson are the worst ways to be knocked out,
  11. You mean like this? I was in a $20 Stars tourney that just ended. Got to final table (615 entrants), and worked my way down to 4 people left... I'm sad. This could've dwarfed my biggest ever win by $2000 if I woulda been able to take this tourney down. And this guy went on the win the whole thing...

  12. Once was knocked out by a guy that called with with the one card-gut-shot straight flush draw. I flop the nuts, and instead of slow playing i play it i bet straight out (this table was full of weak-loose calling stations), get called down, and all of a sudden, he raises all in on the river. Silly me, i should have known.
  13. I guess I would say when somebody goes all in under the gun with pocket dueces and you wait while everyone folds to you on the button and call him with Aces only to get belly-punched when the guy rivers a set.....
  14. whenever you are winning the hand all the way to the river and then you hit your set which gives your opponent the straight or flush.
  15. any way.

I can lose aa v 23, or 23 v aa, and it still hurts.

    F losing.
  16. She looked me dead in the eye & said "I think my A4 is good, I call" My AA would have won, but she was obviously SOOTED.
  17. The worst I ever saw was on the Grand III tournament on Pokerroom. Player A flops the nut full house and goes all in. Player B calls with a flush draw that was no good at that point. Runner Runner straight flush ... good game Player A. This was on the bubble too.
  18. worst way to lose=making a dumb play

  19. when and ass calls a bet that puts THEM all in with A,7..A,4..ETC.. against your pocket Q's..K's and hits the ACE on the river.
