When shoves the flop it really made no sense, but this is $2 tourney, people do play different, there was no real draws I guess he could doing this with a set but I think I can't fold jacks here. I thinking he has me beat on the flop.
Do you call off your stack in this spot? or fold?
  2. I'm never folding here in a $2 MTT. So many players will think his top pair is good, or just check-raise you because they're putting you on AK.

  3. i agree with graps im prob not folding but 10 9 is def in his range..also 78 and qj is also so u could be up against a draw
  4. Yeah but usually in these lower buy-in tourneys they get excited when they have the nuts. They don't know how to bet for value. That what scares me on this type of flop.

If that's the case, then what type of flop wouldn't scare you? Only one where a J comes? I'd be more scared if I saw an A, K or Q on the flop. Sure you can be beat, but you can't play poker like that. On this flop someone with A-10 is going to shove, sometimes with any 10 at this buy-in. Call and take your chances. Over the long run it's the winning play.

His raise IS for value...with his stack, that's the only play he has left. It's not like that's an overshove; it's about a pot-sized raise.

  8. Well, obviously that's what happened, because you probably wouldn't have posted otherwise. T9 was in his range...as was AT, KT, QT, JT, QJ, 87, A9 (if he's putting you on a c-bet with air), etc. You can't beat yourself up over it.

  9. In this kind of tourney, he probably is semibluffing with some type of str8 draw or has A10. If you're going to call his reraise, you really shouldn't be folding to a flop like this. If he has AA, KK, QQ, or a set, then you are unfortunate, but it is a two dollar tourney and people usually aren't that good and will push with worse than you think. Positive EV in my opinion to call.
