  1. ...it doesn't add to the prize pool.

Tournament at a casino I frequent has a $10 dealer's toke for an additional 2k in starting chips. Obviously this adds nothing to the prize pool but gives you a bit more play.

So do you bite for the extra chips? I'm leaning yes (would give you 100BB to start).
  2. i wouldnt pay money to enter the tournament in the first place

edit- misread thread, thought it was referring to rebuys not going into prize pool. in this case like at turning stone then yes always take the extra

  3. I'll take as many chips as I can get my hands on.
  4. As long as the tourney buy-in is greater than the dealer's toke, this is a must-do transaction.

  6. Buy-in is 60, toke is 10, it's a $500 added and then I'm sure a certain % is taken from the overall prize pool (thinking around 7% or so).

  7. Yah stop being cheap and give the dealers an extra sawbuck and take your exta chips. Besides, so many players will be doing it so if you do not it becomes a slight disadvantage to you.

  8. In every tournament I have ever been to that has this, every player has bought in for the extra every time. So the question is not, "do I want to spend extra money to have a few more chips?", but "do I want to save some money and have less than everyone else?"
  9. turning stone does this
