I know I overbet the river, but I assumed a smaller raise in a $5 game was going to get a call from a hand just like that one. I felt that by over betting the river, I could make it look like I possibly had a straight or a J or Possibly slow playing the ace. Did not have him on anythinng on the board. My read was small to mid PP. If I had read him as a better player I would have most likely made a 2x-3.5x RR on the river. Did I go wrong here or did he just make a good call? I thought it was horrible, but he was correct.

    feedback?
  2. Obv he had a read on you,and your over bet screamed I aint got shit please dont call, or he just didnt care
  3. i had not showed down one losing hand in the final 20 ppl or so. so i think if he did have a read it may have been because or a inconsistancy in my bettimg pattern.

  4. Why would u limp K5 off?? Nothing you did untill the riv would indicate you had a hand. Bluffing is telling a believable story. You didnt. I would have played a big hand more this way to induce that call. Raise that up preflop. You could have won the flop with a continuation bet. If you're willing to put that much in with nothing at least do it preflop so strength is at least believeable
  5. His call is pretty awful. Next time try to have your hand make more sense however.
  6. For this limit of poker, your play was fine(other then calling pre-flop with K5). You smooth called the turn which entices him to fire another bullet on the river, which he does. You re-raise all-in which is exactly what most players would do when actually holding an A. You played fine, his call was IMO a terrible play.
