Not much experience in these big buy in events (30k starting stack, 50-100 to start w/ 90 min. levels)
Should I play day 1A or 1B (where would weaker field be?)...should I be looking to chip up 1st day?...play tight to survive?....simply go in and play my best (as bad as that might be)? Sattied in btw.
Any help from the ballas out there would be appreciated. -
thnx dark..any thoughts on the day 1A or 1B part? Initialy thinking 1A to avoid more ballas flying in late, but no evidence that that's how it goes down.

Never any exact science as to which starting day will be softer. Not like that will matter much anyways. Play your game, worry about your table, don't be overwhelmed ... you will be amazed how quickly the field shrinks once you make it past day one
if the cards don't fall your way, it wasn't meant to be. If they do, take advantage and don't be afraid to make some moves -
thnx ship..played in 2 10k's before (a few years back)...played very scared 1st one..managed to last til 81st, but really never gave myself a chance...last one played better, but still a bit tenative, busted 51 (payed 42)...both of those started w/ less chips, so we'll see...you playing?

I actually play a lot at fxwoods when I'm home in CT so I have a little experience against some people that might be playing. First of all play day 1B imo, most of the guys like to see what happens and change their play. I would say play fairly aggressive early. It's a good structure and they all want to stick it out, so f with them early. My final advise, which is a liitle weird, is bet bigger. When you have it, fumble a little and bet more than you would, as if you dont know exactly how to add the chips b/c a reg will look at that like a uncertain bluff. Also run like god and GL.

play the second day and wear a Phill Hellmuth UB jersey, Hellmuth hat, sunglasses and lard suit (underneith your jersey) and show up 2 hours late. Claim that you are the best in the world and you should get a lot of respect...
