i thought it was pretty obvious that Al and Ricardo chopped heads up. from the preflop call with 23s to the check raise to the call with A2 and all their body motions a chop seemed very likely. ricardo didnt seem to give a shit when Al hit the 3.
thoughts? -
He took about 15 (ok maybe not 15, but a few) minutes to call that all in bet according to card player, gg wpt editing. Also, gg cardplayer, a k or 7 doesn't help ricky there one bit.
<table bgcolor="#eaeaef" border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" width="484"><tbody><tr><td width="75">Date / Time:</td><td>2005-09-22 19:13:00</td></tr><tr><td>Title:</td><td>Al Ardebili Doubles Up Through Ricardo Festejo</td></tr><tr><td valign="top">Log:</td><td>Hand 92 - Ricardo Festejo has the button, he raises to $600,000, and Ardebili calls. The flop comes Ks-7d-2s, Ardebili checks, Festejo bets $1,000,000, and Ardebili moves all in. Festejo thinks for several minutes before he very quietly calls. Festejo shows As-2h (pair of twos), and he actually dominates Ardebili's 3d-2d (pair of twos, lower kicker). Ardebili is in trouble, needing to catch a three, or running diamonds to stay alive.
The turn card is the 3h! The audience cheers, especially in the section with Ardebili's wife. Now Festejo is behind, and he needs to catch a seven, a king, or an ace. The river card is the 8h, and Ardebili sucks out on Festejo to take a commanding chip lead.
After the hand, Ardebili should have about $8 million, with about $2 million left over for Festejo. We should be getting a more official chip count soon.

I didnt think you were allowed to chop on the WPT
-
You aren't. They want the integrity of the their product to be unquestioned.
That being said, on a break, you and someone can talk about how you will job out to them for x amount of dollars. -
Seemed to me that right away the guy w/ 34 thought he was trying to steal did U see him give him that look? Than when the flop hits he checkraises allin, figuring if he doesn't have a King he can't call and in fact he doesn't but calls anyways. He might have figured, hey if he hadda King wouldn't he reraise me preflop? He's going to miss the flop 70% of the time and all the sudden he goes allin just seemed odd and it didn't add up. Maybe the guy has a ace high too, and even if he has a King he can still win w/ an Ace or a 2. I wouldn't have called that's for sure...but a chop?Isuppose it's possible I don't know if I beleve that...where did this notion come from? Have people allegedly chopped on the WPT B4?
