18-25 years old, in makeup for 50k,100k+ and the only way out is to grind, focus, improve, withstand the swings/variance and really commit yourself to the game as a marathon vs. a sprint or get deep in MakeUp and say, "F it... What do I have to lose? Let me run 3+ accts for 6 months and get out of this hole....

Wretchy got deep in a hole, had his GF, brother, grandma, uncle and the pet cat down in the hole with him and the reality of it all is If he didnt go on P5's making rail calls, make posts saying he's registered in private tourneys/LL's as "Im playing as xxxxxx instead of Wretch" and all the other Attention Whore shenanigans that he continues to have exposed, he would not be going through this.

Whores who walk down the street and want attention must be prepared to "Put Out or Get Out".... Wretchy appears to have tripped getting out of WhatsLogicSpockWretchy Wagon.

Love the fact that people representing a million dollars worth of buy ins every week have weighed in on this and few if any have stopped to conclude that Wretchy's actions probably pale in comparison to the real cheating that goes on in every MTT.

To me it's clear that the sites cannot police the actions of the players with the vigor necessary to ensure a level playing field, especially at higher levels. With wireless cards altering IP addresses not being particularly hard to obtain,throwing Wretchy under the bus and thinking that this issue is somhow concluded is misguided I'd think.

Is it possible that this was just a case of keeping up with the Jones's?

I wanted to blast wretchy like MUPP. There was evidence in murderer's OP that was ignored.

But I think the poker sites realized that and handed down a fair punishment. Why?

1. The main difference between wretchy and the other multiaccounter's is wretchy stopped cheating before he was caught. If he had been caught during that period, the punishment should have been worse, but he did stop, as far as we know.

2. The funds in his account now are probably not related to the funds from when he cheated. wretchy was known to be backed by some of the biggest names in the game. If they confiscated his funds there would be ripples throughout the backing community, which would result in the sites losing money. For self-preservation, the sites "ignored" the evidence of cheating layed out by murderer, because the standard for punishments they have set in the past for people who multiaccount tournaments is very high.

Not the best result for the average player, but a good result for backers and people who are backed.

wretchy got lucky, and he took a smart approach to defending himself. I would bet he got some advice from a lawyer or two from this site before handling his defense.

I am sure he is guilty of more than they say he is, but the punishment seems pretty fair considering he stopped cheating, as far as we know.

NOTE TO CHEATERS: stop now and they might not take all your money when you get caught!

If they confiscated his money, they would be pissing off people who back a lot of other players.

This may cause backers to pull out of backing people, because of the risk of having funds confiscated. Which would be bad for backers, people who are backed, and the sites themselves.

I was trying to explain why the sites blatantly ignored evidence of cheating when they handed down their decision. I am not defending wretchy. I was against him when the allegations came out, and he said, "If you turned on me, stay turned away"... That's fine with me.

It is ridiculous that stars and ftp let the cheaters continue to play. I am a recreational player that occasionally ventures into bigger events. I always wondered why I have much better results live. First I got cheated on UB, now this. Seeing how the sites allow the cheating scumbags like wretchy and Zeejustin to keep playing is convincing me it's time to stop playing online. GG stars and ftp.

i hear ya... this is as clear cut as it gets.. he cheated, many more are currently cheating and you just cant catch them unless their friends get mad and out them etc... i play recreationally too and would exclusively play live if i could sit in my boxers and rip bong hits at the table :) until then, i will just try to get throuhg the multi thousand donk fields in 55 dollars or less.. and wait for the next scandal to shake my head at

Probably more than you think.

Ghosting, MAing, Playing with two accounts, etc affects every player who plays online. Not just HS mtt regs.

While I don't really mind MTT regs playing at my cash tables under different accounts (cause most are terribad) its still shady and unethical. So lol at those who think this is "cool" and SOP. Just cause your fellow break even, knee deep in make up buddy does it, doesnt mean its kosher.
