I am guessing this must be deep into a tournament? Personally I would have passed pre flop.
I wouldnt want to be getting involved in this hand with AT against the raising chip leader. You have called his all-in after your re-raise, so if you decide that you want to play the hand, why not go allin first yourself? That way you have slightly more fold equity. -
I think if you're gonna play this hand at all, you move all in on his raise. This gives you the best chance to call him out on his steal (make him fold). Depending on how you've played up to this point, he would have to have a really good hand to call your all in, and I think a good percentage of the time he would lay his KQ down.
That being said, you were a favorite, and a majority of the time, you'll win this showdown. Take comfort in that fact. The odds only make sense if you play them every time. This is one of those times where you didn't win... but playing well is all that really matters.

You couldn't fold at the end obviously, but you need to think about what you are doing preflop. A guy raised in early position and you reraised him with A10 from the small blind? With 7 people left the table is a little short handed but I don't think its shorthanded enough to make this play make much sense. I would much prefer either a call or just a fold.
-
In addition, its shaky strategy. If you were one of the shortstacks and suspected this guy was not very strong, I wouldn't have a problem with this play, but you are basically tied for 2nd in chips with a couple of other guys. If I'm going to put all of my money in preflop in this spot, I want to do it with a stronger hand. You don't need to take a huge risk here, yet you decided to anyway. That makes reraising a bad option since you had to comitt yourself. I don't like calling either because you will would have to play the hand out of position and you might invite the bb to either come into the pot or come over top and try to steal it. You would have done better to just fold and move to the next hand.
-
I just fold preflop.

You're out of position here...the choice is either all in or fold. If you think you have the best hand, all in...if not, fold. Reraising 2/3rds of your stack here is not a good idea. Looks more like you were trying to play A-10 as if it were AA or KK. Can't say whether the hand would have played out differently if you push all in...maybe he folds considering it is 2/3rds of his stack that he'd be calling off with KQ. He could also be stubborn, still make this call as a 3 to 2 dog and outdraw you. As mentioned before, you will win this showdown most of the time. That's poker for ya.
