  1. When a person is wrongly accused of collusion, it makes me wonder a couple things...

    1. How did my account become selected of this accusation? Did someone report me, or was it their system flagging a pattern?
    2. How long does it take for an issue like this to be resolved?
    3. Is this common for sites to lock accounts and investigate them? Has it happened to you?

    In case you haven't guessed, I am dealing with this right now and am very frustrated with the whole thing.

    2) Depends on the site, the evidence, etc. FTP let Sorel back on, so I guess anything is possible.
    3) No its not common, usually the site has some evidence before they would consider doing this.
  3. 1. How do you get selected for review?
    a. Someone saw you make a strange play that they questioned.
    b. You get friendly in chat and you & another player play lots of pots together & isolate against one other player & he reports your suspected collusion.
    c. You play lots of tables regularly with the same players.
    d. Your IP is similar (or the same) to lots of players that you play with regularly. Maybe a bunch or you hang at the same coffee shop or restuarant or the same wifi hot spot.
    2. How long does the investigation take. It depends on what the situation is and what evidence they have to review: few days to few weeks.
    3. Yes it's common for sites to lock the accounts with suspicious activity until a resolution is reached. They lock the accounts to protect the money for possible recovery & distribution to those that are harmed by collusion.
