  1. I got into vegas at 8 and after settling into my place I headed over to the RIO to check out the atmosphere and get my pre-registrations squared away.

FYI: At 11 pm they had 1275 registered for Event #2 starting on Tuesday. The cashier told me that they were told they would have room for 2700, but she said not to hold her to that...last year there was 2300, so you can be confident that capacity will be between 2300 and 2700. You need to have a total rewards card to register...so it makes it difficult for someone to register for you unless they have your total rewards card.

Considering the only event going was the TOC, it was fairly crowded and the atmosphere was energetic. I didn't count, but it appearred they had 40 - 50 cash games going and another 20 - 30 single table satellites going. I didn't check out the stakes for the satellites that were running, but a friend of mine told he was playing 10-25 nl and 25-50 nl earlier in the cash games.

It looks like they're better prepared this year for registrations and crowds, but at the same time the crowds should be even bigger...soooooo...who knows if things will be smoother or not.

If you are preregistered for multiple events, make sure you double check and get all your registrations...it took them a few minutes to find all of mine, they didn't have them grouped together.

After a 7 hour drive I'm pretty excited to be here...can't wait to start playing some of the 1 tables or cash games tomorrow.

  3. I am here too. Everything went smooth. I was registered through Bodog and just went to the will call station and was in and out in about 3 minutes.
