Can one of the nine remaining players sell their seat prior to the start?
-
ban
-
Nope.

Do you know for sure or are you guessing/assuming?

I might ask some retarded questions, but that my friends takes the cake.

I'll give an example, Stu Ungar in the mid 80s was in the ME with 27 people left. He failed to show up for the rest of the MTT, so his chip stack was blinded away into 9th place.
If one of these guys dies there chips sit there, no one can sit in for them under any circumstances. -
HA..HA..HA

Cmon, be serious with him guys. IF and only IF the person doesn't show up to play, it becomes an auction ran by the tournament director on who gets to play and take the prize money of the individual. Since it would not be fair to take all of the prize money, any money won above 9th place, must be split by a) the person filling in, and b) the WSOP staff.
In the event that a person dies, they must leave ( in their will ) permission to whomever they please, fill in. If this person was to fake their death to have a pro fill in , they will be automatically disqualified. The person must have known the indivdual for sometime and both parties must agree on terms.
