    I don't know if any1 has brought this up yet about the WSOP playing its final table 5 months after the final table is set in the main event, but I would definitely think with this much money on the line:

    1) Deal making before the final table resumes is almost a guaranteed thing to happen between at least some of the players.

    2) The absolute certainty of collusion occurring will take place. Some of the players will contact each other and work out a strategy to help each others chances of winning.

    I don't think a televised scandal like this will be good for poker.

    people are stupid, but i dont know if theyre stupid enough to try cheating a game thats going to be watched by millions with a hole card cam...

    Blatant cheating aside, you are almost certainly going to see some players working together simply by avoiding one another and what not. we are talking about the difference between winning $0 more dollars as every1 has already been paid as if they got 9th and winning maybe $10 million more. There is enough money there to tempt some players to at least communicate with each other beforehand.

    I've heard the National Enquirer has already hired a staff of poker writers to cover these exact scenarios.

    You would have to be a complete moron to collude with a hole cam when you are already almost guaranteed a million dollars. Most people aren't that smooth and it will be pretty obvious if 2 people are trying to cheat. If you want to take that dumb ass risk and potentially get disqualified then go ahead.

    i would be more worried about assassination attempts on the players prior to the FT.

    WOW, thank God someone found this huge leak. I'm sure they will change the structure right away. I can see the press release from Harra's, on tomorrow's Washington Post front page:

    Due to the possibility of collusion and deal making prior to the ME FT, Harra's has decided that play will continue uninterrupted from day 1 till the end of the event. Players will have a 2 min. pee break - 4 min. poop break, 10 min. naps.

    To avoid collusion, players on pee or poop break will be follow to the bathroom by a Harra's security team member. A sniper's squad will be placed on poker room's ceiling. Any group of 3+ players talking for 2min+ will be shot on their legs as an advertisement. If they continue with such a suspicious attitude, they will be shot to dead.

    Cells phones must be turned off, and any kind of table talk not related with betting will turn into a 30 min. punishment in a locked room.

    All this decisions were taken after Harra's staff realize how easy was to close a deal if the FT was delayed 4 months. A deal was impossible to happen before, when players only had 1 day to discuss. How in hell would you close a deal in just 24 hours?

    Maybe they could send the 9 finalists to an island for the 3 months and make a TV show out of it. Call it Deallusion.

    If I make the WSOP final table and everyone is midstacked, I'm gonna try to make a deal.
