WSOP Pre-Register

    Never played any WSOP events but plan to this year. What is the advantage to pre-registering for the events say the $1500 - $3000 buyins as opposed to doing it when you get there? Is the space limited to a certain number of players or do they take all players? I think read online you can pre-register up until 2 weeks before the event. Is there any need in pre-registering even before that? If you did pre-register and for some reason couldn't make it can you get your money back if you notify them before the tournament starts?

    Wondering the same thing. Only guess is that you won't have to wait in line maybe.

    From my experiences last year, preregistration might be useful. Some of the smaller 1k-1,500 get fairly large and they were doing alternates for some of the events. In light of some of the new rules and regulations, you should be ok just registering when you get there, but always better safe than sorry.

    I played in a 2k NL event last year. I pre-registered and only had to walk up show my ID and get my seat assignment. The line for registering that day had at least 400 people an hour before the start. Just saves the time of waiting in line. I've already pre-registered for two events this year and just don't want to have to carry the extra cash or spend time in line the day of the event.

    How do you go about pre-registering? Do you just call up the rio say i'm wiring x dollars for these tourneys and then you're all set?
