  1. The down side of winning a WSOP package early is that from that point forward you can only play WSOP satellites on that one site. If that site happens to be one that doesn't allow repeat winners, you're done with WSOP satellites for the year. You would think it would be fairly easy to determine which sites do and which sites do not allow multiple wins, but, surprisingly, this isn't the case.

When I checked UB's web site earlier this week it said its WSOP packages had no cash value and were non-transferable. I later learned that their main page makes it clear they will, however, let you use multiple wins to buy into another $10,000 buy-in event of your choice. Poker stars has always allowed multiple wins in the past and I assume they are again this year (but I haven't confirmed that). I have no idea what the other sites do and I really don't want to spend the time to search a half dozen web sites looking for the answer only to discover later that it's not up to date or not as clear as it could be.

So, I'm asking for the groups help. I am particularly interested in the following sites:

    Paradise
    Bodog
    PokerRoom
    party

but information on any site will be appreciated.

  2. Full Tilt came out wiht an email...that says you can win multiple seats. I guess if you win more than one, they just give you the cash prize package according to that email...
  3. paradise - cash

  4. just play on stars. come on. i'm not a shill but it's obv they have the best choices. not only do they have wsop double shootouts running as sit and goes, but there are direct buyin options for any televised event. you can win a ME seat, then win another for $10k W$ and buy into like 7 other events with it.

this is on top of their VIP program which is already reason enough to play there now.

  5. They do have the best options, but, unfortunately, they don't have the best tournament structures.

Unless stars offers some satellites that use the same structures as their $300 and up buy-in tourneys I won't be playing there despite their excellent choices for repeat wins.

  6. stars lets you win multiple ones, but only pays you in W$.
FTP lets you win multiple ones, and pays you in cash.
Jetset lets you win multiple ones, but only allows you to sell the seat whole to another player.

  7. Full Tilt and Paradise are the hands down choices this year. stars has good set up with W$ direct buy in, but what if you cant make more than the main event? Cash is the same as W$ right? Buy yourself in at the Rio or use the cash to play more satellites there....

  8. Heres what I want to know: On which sites can you play sats if you've already qualified on another site? Almost all sites have first win first play clauses, but once I win my first seat, I'd still like to play on all the sites for 10k shots.

  9. I'd like that too, Aaron, but I doubt any of the sites allow it. If you find one, let me know.

  10. Can't agree more with u 2 (in this case only, DL) I would almost def. play regularly a wsop sat tourney that did not require u to use the first seat.
  11. I seem to recall stars letting you use the seat in the next years ME if unable to play in this years.....not 100 percent sure about this.......
  12. As far as I have been able to tell, the first seat won on a site MUST be used as an entry for yourself. Each site has different rules regarding the subsequent winning of supersatellites or double shootouts...this is what I believe to be the case...........

    1.party: 1st win, seat, subsequent wins....cash

2.UB: 1st win, seat, subsequent wins....can transfer to another member,,,,

3.Paradise: first win, seat....suns wins, cash

4.stars: first win, seat....subs wins.....receipt of w$ (DL as an aside the$640 supersatellite has the same slow structire you desire.)

5.Pokerroom, Bodog,Full Tilt, and other second tier sites....not sure but i imagine 1st win seat subs wins cash.

  13. I am fairly certain that Bodog will allow you to use your tournament dollars for bascially anything they promote. So if you have 50k in tourney dollars you could use them to buy into WSOP events (since they will be there the whole time).

I will check but I am pretty certain. If it is indeed the case I will talk to them about doing something similar to what stars did last year so people know its available.
  14. For wsop stars has the best structure out there. The big weekly ones has 30 min levels.
  15. I am pretty sure Pokerroom does not allow you win multiple seats to the same event, unless they changed their policy.
  16. Thanks. Very helpful.

  17. When I asked 2-3 weeks ago a Pokerroom.com moderator in a tournament lobby as for when the WSOP qualifiers will start, he said that they have something "special" coming soon, and that it will be WSOP/WPT winner's choice qualifiers. I asked if it will be similar to stars' W$, he said no.

  18. After winning a seat on Bodog, i asked them what i could do with a 2nd win. They said the only thing i could do was transfer the package to another member, and it was up to me to aquire money from the member.
  19. I don't question what you are saying but they have a tournament dollar system for a reason and I am fairly certain that is the reason. Either way I will have your answer tomorrow.
  20. Well when i won a seat i didn't recieve any tournament dollars.
  21. I just got this email...

    Dear XXXXX

I am writing to you to update you on our new policy regarding the World Series Of Poker Semi Finals.

I remember speaking with earlier in the month about your big win in one of our "WSOP Guaranteed Seats". At that time, I did inform you that should you win another seat to the 2006 WSOP Main Event, we would transfer it over to another Bodog member of your choice. Today, I regret to inform you that we longer offer this transfer of seats. I would like to inform you to stay away from playing any other "WSOP Main Event Qualifiers" because if you win, we will have to award the seat to the runner-up in the tournament.
  22. On 2nd WSOP wins on UB your get $2000 cash and $100 tecs this will soon be $2000 cash and $10,000 in UB$, You can use these ub $ for any live WSOP or WPT tourney or any tourney on UB. I have won more than one and sold many tecs to friends that play in the $100 and higher tourneys, also plan on using many for a few of the WSOP events this year. IF you wish to transfer a WSOP win you can do so,but this is not your only option at UB.

    Hope this helps

  23. ty Mr. Rice . glad to hear about the new UB$ system that will be starting soon. sounds great.
  24. just a quick question: what's the rationale for wanting to play tournies for mulitiple seat entries, as opposed to just cash tournies? is it because the first place payout is higher (as compared to a flatter cash MTT payout)? i was always sort of curious because this seems to be a common practice.

    thanks!
    JJ
  25. Yes in speaking to Bodog I was quite surprised as well. It was virtually the opposite of what I beleived. Oh well.

What did Party do if you won 2 party poker Million Seats. How about Paradise on WPT events?
