WSOP Satellite Contest

We will play 21 private games on Poker stars between March 2nd and May 15th every Sunday and Wednesday. At the end of the 22 games we will send the best scoring player(s) to play a WSOP Preliminary of their choice. (Please only join if you intend on playing in an event if you win). The payouts will be in multiples of $1500, allowing winner option of 1.5k event or 1k event with travel expenses.) The schedule is below, it will be mostly NLHE but also a mix of other games.
Scoring: Will use stars TLBs, you must finish ITM to receive points (tournies will pay 15%). Scoring will be updated on Google Documents

Wish I could join, games start at 3am for me, then again my travel costs would be too high unless I happen to be out there for other events. GL getting 20+ people!

Nice idea. Did something like this in a home game a few years ago. A few suggestions.

- Make the buy-in $200. Winner of the contest gets a ME seat ($10k). Should be able to get 50 players. If the contest winner cashes in the ME. 90% of the payout goes to the contest winner. 10% is split amongst the other participants. If the contest winner wins another ME sat, they are still bound by this 90/10 agreement. (or they can play 10k worth of prelim wsop events with the 90/10 split) Contest winner keeps all perks. (tv table, sponsorship, etc.) A contract can be written up for the contest winner(s).
- Any money over the $10k can be used for $1k or $1500 events with same split agreement. Not sure how to handle someone "holding" the money.
- Make all of the tourneys $11 NLH MTTs. And use the same structure for each. Want to be consistent and give everyone a fair shot. 9 of the tourneys listed are "specialized". This is huge when the winner is based on a total score.
I'd def be interested if you make these changes. -

I'd def be interested if you make these changes.
I am also open to having the winner 90/10 split where 10% of any cash goes back to entrants, but prefer not to.
If it's abig problem we can change the game selection, but I thought it'd be more fun to mix it up and add a bit more variety instead of having them all be NL sngs. Only 3 are NON nlhe, a plo horse and 8game. the other variety is just different forms of NL, shootout 4max 6max etc. -
