Who all is going? I am v. excited for both the tournaments and the city, as I've never been to Europe before. I am going to be there from the September 19th-October 5th playing all of the WSOPE prelims and the EPT London ME. I have a room at the Marriott, which is less than a mile from both venues, at a very good price (by London standards) thanks to my friend who works for them. So I have an extra bed and I was wondering if anyone wanted to chop the room with me. Pm me on here if you're interested.

I don't know where the Marriott is, but a hotel close to Edgware Road (Victoria Casino) is the Hilton at Paddington Station. It is actually right on top of the train station and it is a hub and you can take the Underground as well as bus and train service to just about anywhere.
Although the area around Edgware Road might be scary to first time Americans going to London (see...Little Beirut), it has some of the best Lebanese food around and I've had no problems walking back to Paddington Station (4-5 blocks) at 2AM.
Be sure to see the sights while in London and not spend all your time in the casino. BTW, as already said, it is very expensive. Enjoy....maybe I'll see you there if I get a chance to get a business trip arranged during the same time. -
I'll obv be there. Staying at a hotel aon Leicester square right across the Empire... forgot the name. If any of u havent booked, the Gloucester Millenium is a pretty nice hotel as well, and not that far away (i think). When do u get in JP? I'm celebrating my birthday the 18th if u wanna come? :).

If you're at The Vic, look on www.lastminute.com or www.laterooms.com for marble arch hotels, perhaps the Cumberland or the Thistle. These are 4 star hotels and are comfortable rather than luxurious but less than 5mins alk.
At the empire staying in Leicester Sq means the radisson, but st martins lane hotel is v close and fantastic, but expensive. Lots of decent hotels in covent garden which is 5-10 min walk.
