Jamie Gold - now several hundred grand richer.
That is what our reporter told us as he recounted the tale of Jamie Gold's demise.
As soon as the bubble burst, signifying that he had won his very hefty bet, Gold announced, "Never been so happy to cash in my life. Going out drinking if anyone's thirsty."
So, here's what happened.
Gold raised to 5,000 and the player on the button called. They saw a flop.
Flop:

Gold checked and his opponent bet 4,600. "Nice hand," said Gold and called.
Turn:
Gold checked and his opponent bet 11,200. "Nice hand," said Gold, and called again.
River:
Gold checked and his opponent moved all in to cover him. Gold called, and mucked his hand without looking. "I could have had the nuts," he said cheerfully, and left. -

Hand for Hand, and One Big Potential Winner
Posted 31 minutes ago by danafish
We are now on the bubble, and we are hand for hand.
By the by, it's not just whoever eventually wins this that could make a six-figure sum from this tournament. Jamie Gold took a bet before this that he would cash in his first WSOP tournament of the year. We understand that it was, in his words, "Two to one on a couple hundred thousand," and he is just about to win his bet.
"I'm going to drink after we cash," he told his table. "I'll buy everyone drinks."
Fair enough, sir. Fair enough.

Bold strategy cotton, lets see how it works out for em

This is just horrible for the integrity of the game! He has lived up to what everyone has criticized him for...Why doesn't he just walk off and get blinded out of the tourney instead of doing an etiquette fuck up like this?
FUCK YOU JAMIE GOLD! -
I never really gave a stuff one way or the other about this guy until this. Shows a total lack of respect for the game that has given him so much. What an ahole act. Also terrible 4 the public view of the game as I am sure this will be reported in the media. He has offically just made my list.

I can't put it any better than Getumboy above -
Jamie Gold is a douchebag. We already knew that. The reporter that wrote this is also a douchebag for the title "Jamie Gold is my hero"

I THOUGHT YOU SAID PROP PROP

It's one thing to vacate your seat and choose to get blinded out after winning a huge prop bet but blatant chip dumping like that should get him banned from all future WSOP events. Total lack of respect for the game and the other players who want to win.

is this a level? I thought he was a douche from the first time I saw him in the ME he won. And of course this case of chip dumping confirms it even more.

needless to say if he dumped chips to someone he actually knew then it's fucked up on all kinds of levels but I doubt that was the case -
um it is a disrespect to the game. im sure the other players do care especially those 7 other players who didnt get chip dumped. sure the guy who was gift wrapped a stack of chips doesnt care. i have no idea what was going on at the table but maybe he had a reason for giving the chips to the person he did. i would have no problem with him if he decided to play the hand blind and just look to bluff bluff bluff every street so atleast hes making the other party earn it. or he coulda just sat out.

pretty sure he did nothing wrong especially if it was a complete random he gave his chips to.......once again lol @ disrespecting the game.....pretty simple imo pony up the money for the buy in and do what you please with your chips........as long as your playing within the rules it's nobodys business how you handle your chips

If he can flip over cards, tell his friends what he has and discuss what his actions will be in a 3 way pot on his way to winning 12 mil why start punishing him now?
Chip dumping and soft playing are not within the rules.Originally Posted by Brunson10

I'm pretty sure if the guy that got a free stack was one seat to my left and a good player that I wouldn't think it was "no big deal."
