will post what happend in that hand later, but would like to know what would any one do. Read on the skier_5, he played very tight and showed mostly quality hands and laydown some tough hands.
  2. I think with the size of everyones stacks you have to call and hope to hit a set.

  3. yea i figured i was just gonna call.. but the second smooth call had me questioning. At this point I really figured I was behind, even if I had the odds. So i ended up folding my hand and saving the 1000+ chips. The flop comes A K x and skier shows A K. Dunno, I didn't like having the big stack to my left, just wondering if anyone else would fold that hand preflop knowing your own position, which was out of position, and chip sizes.

  4. Like Manhattan said, everyone's got enough chips for you to go set mining if you want to hit a home run. But you've got a very nice chip stack going here...I'm pretty sure you're about 2x the average. I'm completely fine with the decision not to over-commit with your jacks, especially if your read is that skier wouldn't do re-raise with anything less than AK, and another big stack overcalling, which usually means he's got a pretty damn strong hand too. I think chip position at a table and in a tournament is a lot more important than implied odds in this case. Plenty of time left to find a better spot to get a substantial # of chips in the middle.

  5. basically what I figured..hate to lay down any pocket pairs but just went with my gut. Too bad i hit a cold deck to my nuts and couldnt find any hands after this hand and eventually finished 330. Got raised with a M = 3 went all in with two lives and hit the flop but got kicked in the face when the other person hit his 7 outs and made a straight on the turn. Oh well, that shit happends. Thanks for whoever replied.
