Sat night 1k event at the Borgata about 11 hours deep into the tournament.
Blinds are at 500-1000 with a 100 ante blind levels last 50 min. About 100 people left, 36 cash, average stack is about 40-45k.
5th position @ 19k chips : raises to 2,500 (pretty tight)
6th position @ 52k : calls 2,500 (train wreck... absolute luck box, who overplays everything but hasn't bluffed yet)
7th pos @ 85k: calls 2,500
button @ 130k : calls 2,500
SB (me) @ 75k in chips : K-7 suited and I call
BB (sitting out) folds.
So there's 14.5k in the pot preflop.
Flop Comes A-K-7 with 2 to a flush.
I check.
Original Raiser in 5th pos checks.
Nutjob in 6th bets 8,500
7th and button both fold.
...
Line from here?
Should I have lead out originally? -
Calling 3% of your stack ($2,000) to win $14,500 really isn't that terrible.

Shove to represent the flush draw, especially since you have them both covered. Sure there's a chance you're behind tight opener in 5th who has checked his AK/AA, but if you flat the 8500 instead and he shoves after you, you're going to get all in against his short stack of 16.5k (postflop) anyway.

as played id usually lead out with a pot bet get reads and go from there.. a 15k pot bet would still leave u with a 58kish stack... but id prolly go 10k on the flop... the 10k should be enough to make any of them sit back and think... if not and it didnt scare them one bit you can be pretty sure theyre sitting on top 2 or a set.... but then again the nutjob might just shove a semibluff if he thinks youre not capable of calling.. if you get called either slam the brakes or jam it.. careful with your read.
