Have not been to the casino since the last ridiculous ruling I got there months ago but decided to go play some 6-12 round by round on Saturday. The game was 6-12 with a 10-20 kill. The player in seat 10 was drinking a lot and a real first class asshole. He also plays there nearly every day. He had just won a pot and had the kill on for 10 dollars. While in his defense he was stacking up chips when the hand was being dealt he did not protect his hand and his hand was mucked in turn as the action folded to him. I was the big blind in seat 5 and the small blind was in the process of mucking when the player realized he did not act. I am waiting for the dealer to push the pot as I am the only one with cards. The player in seat 10 now wants a misdeal and a new hand. I say yeah that is not going to happen sorry. Three other players at the table told him his hand was dead and basically it was too bad.
He now demanded that the dealer called the floor. The floor guy came over asked what happened and the player described the sitution above. The floor then ruled he was going to redeal the hand. I now spoke up for two reasons. It is clearly the wrong ruling and the player was a dick. So I told the floor that I know the correct ruling and so does he so he needs to make it. He asked me to tell him the right ruling then. I told him he did not protect his hand so his hand and the money from the kill in the pot was in and staying in so move on to the next hand and ship the pot. His face got bright red. He said thanks for your opinion now redeal the hand. I laughed and said it is not an opinion it is a rule. I told him it is a rule in his card room and any other. He said well re deal and the first rule is what ever I say is how it is and walked away.
The reason I say another bad ruling is I had played there in a 50 dollar tournament months ago. With 11 players left and 6 getting paid I was clearly the chip leader and a lady second or third in chips moved all in after I opened. One player had flat called in the middle so I took my time in calling with aces. When the other player folded she threw her hand in the muck thinking I folded. I waited to get pushed the pot and floor was called over because the lady wanted her money back simply because she didnt know I had called. I was not worried at all because obviously they will rule I win the pot. Wrong again!! He ruled she could take her money back because she is a regular player there and it is kind of a fun tournament. I said if it was for fun you would not have charged me to get in. I told him he knows the right ruling and I am asking him to make it. He ruled in her favor and walked away. To make matters worse I had a pretty reckless image so the lady said well I had JJ anyway so you were in bad shape. I flashed the aces and said yep. I ended up in 3rd got my money and stopped by the floor guy on my way out. There were now two of them there. I told them that their clear incompetence is why I will not be back for a long time and possibly ever. The second floor guy asked what happened and he told the clown that he had made the wrong ruling he said yeah I know but she plays here all the time. I laughed and walked out telling him he just doesnt get it.
One question I have. Is there anyone who regulates these ass clowns to complain to? -
Not sure if outside of the casino there is someone to file a complaint with but really if you run a poker room and charge rake you should make competent rulings. In both of the cases I took issue with there is no gray area it is pretty black and white.

I am sure you could complain to Ho Chuck management. They might force you by gun point to play blackjack, though. I agree their room is pretty bad.
Is it true if you win money in a tournament they won't pay you unless you have your social security card? I'm fine with the tax form and all, but usually a casino just needs an ID. I don't walk around with my social security card at all times. Ho Chunk, thumbs down other than their fish. -
i played there when i was in school in madison a few times. the worst thing i had seen was a loud mouth kid about 22 or so had been drinking quite a bit before i had gotten there and had a lot since i had sat down. he had showed a couple big bluffs and had about 600 in the 1/2 game. hand comes up where some how on a board with 4 cards of the same suit the two players (loud mouth in the hand) got all their chips in about a 1k pot and the older gentlemen who was actually trucking through the state on his way to nebraska flipped over top set and the kid says, DAMN set over set, fucking cooler! and flips his cards into the muck FACEDOWN! then as the dealer is pushing the pot the way of the older gentleman the loud mouth goes wait wait wait, i think i had the flush! starts a huge commotion and demands to see the cards out of the muck which had already been pulled in. dealer says hand is dead sorry, and the guy loses it and demands the floor. the floor comes over they say what were youre cards and if they are in the muck we can go from there. this is where it got hairy. he says i had 99 with a spade... and guess whats in the muck... not only his 99 but the case 9! the guy that was a loud mouth evidently is a "regular" and the floor took 20 seconds to rule in favor of the loud mouth who mucked his hand! three or four of the people at the table objected and started to make a complaint. this was my cue to get up. go to the cage and cash out, then proceeded to head right for the roulette table where i went up like 600 in about 30 minutes! haha love the chunk, but its a joke of a poker room

Reason: roulette table not craps! -
What is a 10-20 kill?
-
There was a kill in this game for any two holdem pots with a flop as well as any scooped omaha pot over 80 dollars. That means the winning player has to post 10 dollars automatically with the option to raise. The next hand becomes 10-20 as opposed to 6-12

Weird, I've been playing a while and have never heard of this
-
I've seen kill pots pretty much everywhere I've played, not usually all of the limit tables, but at least a few. Perhaps since he's an Aussie they don't do that sort of thing down there....

Its a US thing i believe and I agree ho chunk floor rulings are some of the worst ever as are the ones in LCO in hayward
