  1. Was just in a hand early in a tournament, still very deep stacked, flopped TPTK on a pretty dry board, open-bet for about half pot, guy to my left popped that up 3x, and he got 3 bet shoved on. I folded, OR called and they show two pair and an overpair.

Now, I know that's no big thing to most of you, but I also know a few months ago that was a serious leak in my game as I wouldn't have laid that down (and would usually lose because of it!) So it feels good to see that paying off for me.

Part of that is I think one of my biggest leaks in general was knowing when to fold/not put any more into the pot. I realized it wasn't enough to know when to put your money into the pot, but you really needed to know when to stop!

Just curious, What are some of the biggest leaks you worked on that improved your game ?

  2. would you lay it down if there were no 3 bettor? if not that my still be a leak, depending on the circumstances. I overplay ak pre, but am getting better at it
  3. My biggest leak is still not winning flips in crunch time.... sigh..... working very hard at fixing that.
  4. Much better at not chasing or overplaying small pocket pair.
  5. Having a withered attitude. This is still an ongoing battle. I believe my attitude was my biggest leak for quite some time.

Reason: Im not over being a sore loser and need to stfu and gtfo and diagf

  6. playing way too many hands

  7. I can fold 99 now on a 2 5 7 flop.
  8. Winning tiny pots, losing huge ones
  9. Understanding the concept of 3 and 4-betting light/hand ranges...

  10. learning to accept losing while still playing a multi game set. Got to get past the loss. I mean if your playing 12 sng's...chances are you are going to lose some before you ever cash one.... Still working on it but yeah learning to get past losses and focusing on playing what im still in
  11. Learning to not play on Autopilot all day every day, and learning that One pair hands aren't monsters.
  12. Control my crazy monkey TILT when the tenth gut shot sucks out on my set etc.... play less hands and as dissident said focus
  13. depositing
  14. I find that I still make some of the same dumb-ass mistakes I made 6 years ago. Like overbetting TPTK. Oh this time it'll be fine....I got him!

    Oops....

    not again!

funny thing is - if I really want to MAKE money, I stop betting TPTK altogether - unless it turns into something bigger...
  15. 4 bet jamming 40 bigs with AQo on the 5/4 guy before I looked at his hud.

  16. Not raise folding <20bbs. 3 bet shoving all in more with 15-25 bbs.

Reason: too dumb/drunk for math symbols

  17. Chasing draws, on the turn and river for too many chips.
  18. i use to try to win every hand late in mtts and would never just give up on a pot and move on to the next hand but would always try to bluff my way out of every situation and would just constantly blow good chipstacks deep in tournies, now i learn to be patient and pick my spots carefully to make some moves
  19. So much smart ITT, so many things i struggle with and need to get straight
  20. BEER, Lack of sleep and big man syndrome

    Caj

  21. trying to outplay the massive micro stakes MTT fields and turn a profit... now a sitngo player.
  22. playing the wrong game
  23. I used to bluff way too many call stations
I used to hero call value bets too liberally
I used to play far too many hands OOP
I used to 3 bet way less than optimal
I used to fail to adjust my image at the table
I used to fail to adjust my calling ranges based on my image at the table
I used to set mine when my stack was far too small
I used to think the min raise was a poor attempt at a bluff and not for value
I used to have way too tight of a range
I used to take flips too liberally
I used to over play AK and small/med PP's in deep stack situations

lots more but that's just off the top of my head

haha ditto! I could do with winning some flips in crunch time in tourneys.

My biggest leak is learning to fold. Sometimes when you've got TPTK and someone is being aggressive and you say in your head I bet he has 2 pair or a set. You decide to call to prove your self wrong but you're right.

    Sick sick brag
  27. Not bet/folding enough when a hand has value. I used to resort to always check/calling instead just to get to showdown
  28. spewing good stacks mid-late game with stupid bluffs or rediculously light calls

getting impatient on a short stack and shoving too light
  29. So much my bluff spots!

I was bluffing way to much, and picking very bad spots. It may not be my biggest leak, but it is the one I've improved most.
