  1. I can normally let things go but, this hand has been bugging me. I think it's bugging me because I should have taken more time to think it out like I normally do. It probably would have some to the same conclusion, but I want your thoughts.

I have a pretty tight image. I had been fairly successful with all my bluffs and have won every showdown up to this point. The rest of the table has been loose/passive and giving me respect. The villain had only been at the table for about 5 hands. He had been pretty active, but I had not played a hand with him yet.

I don't normally play this hand, but I thought I was pretty sure I could steal the button. I put him on 2 big cards here. He could also have any medium to big pocket pair. From past hands I've seen him play though, I think he has AX.

    BogieOne: bets 300
    mr_alterboy: raises 700 to 1000
    BogieOne: calls 700

At this point I'm sure he's not on a draw. As it's getting expensive to play a draw. I think he has a KX here. I'm 80% sure I have him out kicked.

I'll post the rest after I get a few responses. Is my thinking correct or am I just not thinking correctly at all? Thanks
  2. theres no reason to 3b there. you have no idea where you are now. right play is to fold pre
  3. Well, you're already on the button, so with new player limping in, he could have anything really. Possible post-flop bully? And KJo ain't the greatest hand, even on the button. If you're going to play it this early, (I wouldn't) limp in if you want to take a shot at the new guy. Otherwise, fold pre. Best option, really. But you're in the hand so, look at that draw heavy board. I'm probably going to fold to his bet, and wait to see what mistakes he will make later with other hands. Let someone else take a stand against him. Fold pre.
  4. It's been said before, but a fold pre-flop seems like the best move. I'd just like to know exactly HOW he's been "pretty active"? Limping pre-flop? or betting pre-flop? I could be wrong, but I try to avoid playing hands like KJos against "active players" because most of the time you don't know where you are. Better to wait till a better spot, with straight and flush draws out there.
  5. Usually fold pre, but if you just had a feeling to play it then go ahead. However, once you hit the K in this situation, I would just keep the pot small. I wouldn't feel comfortable enough to accurately put him on a range, so I wouldn't know if I wanted to push him off the flush or use the flush board to bluff him off his better Kx.
  6. well as the hand is played so far. i think your ahead. usually low limit players will jam a pot when they hit it big so by his just call of your raise. looks like a draw he's almost 3 to 1 for a draw not quite there but close. depending on turn i'm probably shoving this
