Let's keep telling lawmakers that we want our rights!

1. Let's send House Subcommittee for Commerce, Manufacturing, and Trade Chair Mary Bono Mack and the rest of the subcommittee tweets requesting a markup for HR 2366, the Online Poker Act: HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, and HERE.
2. Let's send a prefilled tweet promoting this weekend's action plan HERE (or retweet HERE), and let's share the action on our own Facebook walls HERE.

We received what we considered a spam email which came to us VIA change.org and wound up in our spam file (??) Change.org allows petition starters to send out email updates to everyone who signed the petition. So, I went to the last petition and sent the 9K signatories of that petition a link to the new one. Some people will open it, as you did, while others may miss it, but it's a nice, unexpected bonus for me to have a free shot at those 9,000 supporters.

I included this in the next PPA update, which will go out tomorrow morning, so the word will definitely be out.

**** However, the House Financial Services Committee Chairman and Ranking Member have recently introduced legislation in the House of Representatives which aims to clarify the language of UIGEA. *H.R. 1174, the Internet Gambling Regulation, Consumer Protection and Enforcement Act, would create a framework under which online gambling sites could become licensed and authorized to accept bets and wagers from individuals in the United States. This legislation has not yet come to the Senate but I look forward to reviewing this bill when it does. *

I created a new online petition to specific Members of Congress, including one member who is not on either Twitter or Facebook. As the petition system emails each recipient with the results, this is yet one more avenue by which we can reach each member!

1. Let's all ask our friends and families to sign the poker petition HERE.
2. Let's all send the new prefilled, editable tweet HERE to help promote the petition.
   
3. I created an event on Facebook for the poker petition HERE. Let's all join, post "signed" there to encourage others, and share on our FB walls.
   
4. Let's send a prefilled tweet promoting today's action plan HERE (or retweet HERE), and let's share the action on our own Facebook walls HERE.

I created a new online petition to specific Members of Congress, including one member who is not on either Twitter or Facebook. As the petition system emails each recipient with the results, this is yet one more avenue by which we can reach each member!

1. Let's promote the petition via the prefilled tweet HERE and by sharing the post HERE on our own Facebook walls.
2. If you're like me, you get invited to various Facebook poker pages. Let's share/post the post HERE on those pages. HERE is an example. If you host a website, please consider posting the graphic below to encourage participation as well. Thanks!
   
3. The earlier poker petition just closed, with 9200 signatures! Let's tweet half of the recipients with the results: HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, and HERE.
4. Let's send a prefilled tweet promoting today's action plan HERE (or retweet HERE), and let's share the action on our own Facebook walls HERE.

If you'd like to do more today:

• Let's visit the Texas GOP Convention Facebook wall HERE and the Texas GOP Facebook wall HERE to share our thoughts on their rejection of PPA's application for a booth at the state convention. Let's also comment on posts on their main pages HERE and HERE.
• The earlier poker petition just closed, with 9200 signatures. Tomorrow's action plan will include tweets to the remaining recipients. You can do them today if you wish, but I recommend waiting a couple of hours after sending today's tweets. They contain links, so blasting out all eleven at once may set off Twitter's spam detectors: HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, and HERE.
