PPA Advocacy Booth During all 6 Weeks of the WSOP
Playing in any of the WSOP Las Vegas events this year? Your PPA is there with an advocacy booth. Please stop by and take advantage of the political advocacy tools the PPA will have at your disposal. Send emails to Congress, register to vote, sign the pro-poker petition to lawmakers and tape video testimonials. Plus, at select times throughout the tournament, leading poker professionals will be at our booth to meet PPA members and sign autographs.
Keep an eye on this thread, PPA's Twitter feed, and my Twitter feed for pictures and daily reports.

Typical day from 2008:
June 15th, 2008

As has been the MO of the WSOP, Saturday’s crowds are usually insane. This Saturday was no different, with 2700+ runners squaring off in the Nl $1500. This was also by far and away the most people we had at the booth, but that had a lot to do with who was signing the autographs. Daniel Negreanu, fresh off his 4th Bracelet in the $2000 Limit Hold Em event, was the days signer. And the fans came out in huge numbers. I would say Daniel signed 200 autographs in 40 minutes, at least, and almost every person either signed the petition, sent a letter to Congress, or both. So it was a good day.

Another typical day from last year:
June 13th, 2008

So Im off to the Launch party of LV Thrillest (which I think is a magazine) and getting the VIP treatment at the Mirage Pool and then the after Party at Jet, which will be a most welcome change of scenery from the Rio. In preparation for this event I used my $10 voucher that is given to you for registering in a bracelet event, and got myself a nice ribeye. I guess the only way to make it 6 weeks in Vegas is to live a little. Todays booth was kinda dead, as the 10k Heads Up NL was capped at 256 runners, and the first round was over by 3:00 PM. The fact that the second event was the $1500 Razz didnt help either, as these are two of the smaller events out there. But Andy Bloch did stop to sign autographs in between his victory over Bill Edler in the first round of the 10k as he awaited his second match at 5 pm. Sadly Andy was beaten in Round 2 by Theo Tran, so the PPA signing string of luck might have taken a Hit. But Marcel Luske is still going strong with 6 left in the 3,000 HORSE, and Andy and todays other signer, Lacey Jones are playing the $1500 Razz tonite. So hopefully, good results to come. As for me, Im out for the night, see yall tommorow.

Lucky Intern!
Great booth setup. From what I gathered, are there computers there setup so people can sign up to the PPA? Are these computers also used so people can send letters to their Congressmen? Overall great effort, how has the traffic been? Have alot of people been stopping by to support the cause? -
