  1. today i was reading that since the dems pushed the health care plan through that most repubs would retreat and withdraw from many othe bills that dems would be pushing. as in vote on a poker law of some sort. - i know that dems and repubs are working together on the poker thing, but im wondering if it could cause harm to the possibilities since the republicans now feel strong armed --- will this hurt poker?

We've all worked hard to keep this from becoming a partisan issue. To that end, I have a regular column on conservative site BigGovernment.com, at http://biggovernment.com/author/rmuny.

My hope is that Republicans in Congress will realize that we will not be stopped. I hope they also realize that fewer and fewer people within the party care if people play poker. Likewise, I hope Democrats in Congress see that online poker isn't a bottomless barrel of cash.

I think we've been successful in putting out our opinion.
