if bodog had a few more players which would create more tourneys. the site would be top notch. other than the shitty software and slow loading tables.

So if i book a flight to aruba and a hotel for a week or so and try to get a place for rent, I can basically stay there for 3 months with no citizenship, and based just on my Visa that is handed out? That sounds nuts, but really really sick.

Maybe I should reneg on saying Id never play there again after receving horrible customer support from last Januarys check bouncing debacle.

I havnt read threw much of the thread... but my question is if i were to go to the bank today and deposit a check *from stars* would the check clear?

I would email stars with the specifics about ur check and they should be a ble to tell if its good.

i bought the visa gift cards from walgreens that used to work when neteller or whatever the old processor that went busto a year or so ago- but they are not accepted now... still searching for a new method....

stars says they are fine, but I don't think anyone's confirmed success with recent cashouts. I have a $4k check pending so I'll update on that when I try to deposit it. Stars says its status is normal.

deposit last week no problem with all access gift card.

are we going to see people stop playing all together now since we cannot cash out from the US???? i still want to play as i love the hobby but if i happen to bink something and i cant get the money why feed the rake???

Bodog is a mess their checks can take 5 days or 5 months. I'm actually still owed a 3K check from about 6 months ago. I've emailed and called them numerous times and the issue is never resolved. I've actually come to grips with the fact that I'll never get it. Horrible site.

Hey Engineer,

I looked up the U.S Attorney for the Southern District of NY and his name is Lev Dassin. Apparently, he has no political affiliations though he was appointed during the Bush Administration. He became the "Acting" U.S. Attorney when the previous Attorney resigned in 2008.

Basically, he is a placeholder until Obama appoints someone else. Usually, placeholders don't try to set policy or ruffle feathers by keeping a low profile. But, according to NYTimes articles, it looks like Dassin is trying to establish a name for himself.

So, I can't help thinking this whole thing might be a Republican political hopeful trying to make a name for himself rather than an orchestrated campaign against gambling by the Obama administration. If so, the problem may go away once Obama appoints a new U.S. Attorney. Maybe part of the campaign the PPA is fighting should be to get the Obama administration to replace this guy asap.
