Congrats Skallagrim!

Patrick will become a full board member once his nomination is affirmed by our dues paying membership via email ballot.
As many of you already know, Skall has been a longtime advocate for poker players. His work as the PPA Litigation Support Director has resulted in some impressive legal successes for poker players across the country. I would not be exaggerating to say that without his commitment our skill v. chance victories would have never happened. While he has served as unofficial consigliore to me, I am proud that he is taking a more official position on our Board. Being added to the PPA Board is simply recognition of the value he brings to our efforts. Even with a new title, we can expect the same un-biased and honest commentary Patrick has provided on this forum (and others) for the past several years.
The PPA is also offering a unique opportunity for the poker community to offer up additional potential Board Members. The PPA has established a Board Nomination Committee that will examine all names put forward and will then present the best candidates to the full board for consideration. If you have names for consideration send to boardnominations@theppa.org. Please include full name and a brief biography outlining why this candidate makes sense to serve on the PPA Board of Directors.
Thanks and we look forward to your feedback.
John A. Pappas
Executive Director
To clarify, I should mention that I nominated Patrick. I look forward to this expansion of the PPA Board. It's great to see anther rank-and-file poker player join the board. -

TE, can you clarify what this means? His nomination which was seconded by fellow board member Howard Lederer

No doubt. He'll be an excellent addition to the PPA Board.
Thanks! :-)So are you, Rich.
Sure. Like most organizations, for any motion presented to the PPA Board, someone must second the motion for it to proceed forward. I nominated Patrick for the PPA Board and Howard seconded it, sending it forward to the full board which approved it.TE, can you clarify what this means?

Skallagrim has been very helpful on occasion when I've asked a question in this forum. Congrats Skallagrim, and I'm glad he's on our side.
