I have what many may seem as the standard poker hobby/dream/what-just-happend career. I will start my first blog post by saying i believe i am an above average if not solid poker player. OPR has my stats and they are fairly good, and cash games stats are solid also, if you check table ratings its tough to see the truth becuase there are my steady play night and nights after too many beers, and i own up to that. I love playing and I'd love to be playing for a living. They say the biggest scare is to have to play to pay the bills, which is scary to me becuase i know i have the talent but my heart is to my girlfriend and family and i dont have the bankroll to do it, but if i had the bankroll and 18 months living expenses i would do it in a heart beat. i work 60-70 hrs a week for salary so i know what grinding it out means. I love cash games because thats my roots. I started playing 3-6 limit at a indian casino at 17, and made a great amount of money when i did. i moved to tournament playing when i went to college and played online as most do. I partied too much and blew my winnings after a night out playing 3-6 or 5-10 NL and waking up in the morning saying wow what just happend. I have also done that after college, i need to rededicate myself to the game that i truely love and hope one day i can make enough money to treat the people in my life to the life they deserve. My dream is to become succesful in my career and play for serious money, where in turn my job is my hobby and i cant decide what i love more. My new starting my poker life @ $500 will consist of 6 tabling 25NL( many will say is outside my bankroll, in many terms yes but i have been very succesful at this after baking down from 9 tables), and playing tournamnets around my work schedule no higher then $5+1( early DDs). As mentioned before playing after beers i will only play up to 1 table .05/.10 or small FTP point games.
