cdmalgee left this comment on an earlier post when I got my roll to $25.
so what's your plan/goals from here? Do the 45-man sngs go up considerably in stakes?
In terms of stakes, my goal is obviously to move up, but only when my roll permits it. That could take a long time. I'd like to move up when I have 20 buyins at the new level plus 20 buyins at the previous level. I'm currently playing 1.10s, next level is 3.25s so I need $87 to play them (20*1.1+20*3.25). This looks like a pretty nitty bankroll management to me, I don't know if I can follow these rules, I might move to 3.25 earlier, maybe around 60 or 65 bucks. Checking my stats I was profitable when I was playing those a couple months ago.
Stars have 45 man turbo SNG of $1.10, $3.25, $6.50, $12, $27, $60 and $114. I don't think the 114 ever fills up though, the 60 seems to take ages. 1st in these is 14 times the buy in, not a bad ROI for 1h work.
Using my BR management formula, this is the roll I would need to play these levels:
Buyin Roll1.1 3.25 876.5 21712 45727 99760 2197114 4477
I guess if I make it to the 27s one day (wait, one of these is still over my total bankroll), I'll play mostly those, but I'd probably start putting more tournament time at the low levels to learn. Maybe other SNGs too.
But 1st things first, let's make it to the 3.25 level, I'm starting to get bored with the 1.10s.
