My quest for SNE has been going for 2 weeks now and the swings have been just what I expected, CRAZY. I started off with good results in $200NL and horrible results at $5-$10 limit. Recently I have been running pretty cold at $200NL but my limit game has been improving although I am still running slightly below EV at $5-$10. When I first started playing poker online and in casinos I was a limit player because no limit scared me, but it has been years since I played a lot of limit. The games have been pretty poor, with 6-7 regs at each $5-$10 table, and about 5-6 at the $3-$6 games. Im splitting my day up between playing 20 tables of $200NL for 3-4 hours, followed by 16-18 tabling limit at night when there are a lot more $5-$10 games running. I feel like this first part of my attempt at SNE may be one of the tougher times, as I won't be seeing any income from my points until I can start buying the $4k bonuses (I started the year with 1,600 points) as well as hitting the milestone bonuses. I have decided to use my bonuses to start funding an IRA, as I have seen the power of starting to save at an early age through my retirement planning class. I would recommend to any younger player who grinds a lot to either take out some of their winnings,
rakeback, or both each month and start saving now. I am a bit behind my goal to hit 70k VPPs by the end of the month, due mainly to the computer problems I experienced Saturday, but I think that I will be able to get to 65k, which is about 2 days ahead of pace. Hope everyone is having a good 2009 thus far, take it easy.
