So I'm playing the FTP 44$ OHL yesterday and limp in MP with AK67cc and face a min raise by the next player who only has 20bbs after his raise. His min raise is called by the button (fishy player) and it's folded back to me. I want to iso and stack off the short stack so I make PSB which builds the pot to over 1K, the shorty stacks off with 1.2K and now the fishy button has a decision to make. He will be putting 1/3 of his stack in to call to see a flop and won't even have a PSB left behind him. I thought this would be enough to get him to fold, of course though he is fishy and calls. Flop is A1010 rainbow and I bet half pot, obviously only a 10 has me unless he flat called a min raise with AA. Anyway, he puts the rest in and I call to see AQ107 and I lose. I type in the chat what made you call off a 1/3 of your stack preflop which such a weak hand in OHL facing a raise and reraise. He replied "because you couldn't reraise me" after the shortstack shoved. Well even though his play was fishy and incorrect his statement was true at least. Fast forward an hour or so later and I'm in a PLO cash game with AA82 rainbow and I limp (it's naked and I'm UTG so I don't like raising here and playing OOP because the hand won't play well unless I hit the A). Then a short stack makes PSB and it's called by two players (6 max BTW). So back to me and now I would like to iso this shorty, if I make PSB then shorty can't reraise enough and his raise will cap the action pre flop letting the other two players see the flop for the size of his stack. With the fish's chat from the FTP 44 OHL fresh in mind I decide to min raise the short stack. Now he makes another PSB and it is flatted again by the two other players. However since I min raised instead of PSB it let him make another legitimate raise so the action is still live to me and not capped. Now it is perfect as I can make PSB which puts my enitre stack in. I do just that and suprising the other two guys call!! So my iso stragey worked but never underestimate a fishes ability to just call call call. Anyway, my hand held and I ended up 5 plus buyins at that table. Figured a little strategy was called for in the blog instead of just posting bad beats and whatnot. No poker today, Gl to all who are playing.

Back to Atlanta and work today, had a good holiday of pretty much no poker. Good month despite not playing the last 9 days of it. Today, I played ok. I think I was a little overwhelmed MTTing. I had to get back in the grove. I made some good plays, a couple bad ones, sucked out plenty. Doubled my investment today so I'll take it. To tired to go over any hands.

I came in 2nd in Cakes 3k 11 PLO Rebuy, 2nd in FTP 5 Rebuy, and 4th in UB 15 NL Rebuy. In the FTP tourn I had the guy outchipped and lost big when my two pair on flop got it all in vs he naked J hi flush draw. He turned flush. The Cake PLO Rebuy I have played twice and come in 1st and 2nd respectively. Cake is so soft I love it, but obviously I ran well too flopping sets and what not.
UB 15 NL Rebuy - First time playing this tourn. Key hands. I limp with 98hh in EP, two more limpers (150/300 level) and button raises half his stack to 1300, a blind calls 1k more. Now there is 3650 in the pot and it's back to me. This is I feel a perfect spot to squeeze and gamble for all this dead money. I have button covered easily and will still have a playable stack if I lose so I reraise pot. Folds to button who insta calls, the blind tanks and finally calls with 76dd OMG!! button has KK and by the river I make two pair and take both these guys out for a nice juicy pot. At the FT though I got my karma back. 6 Handed a guy open shoves UTG+1, the button calls (very short stacked) and I snap with KK in BB. AJ,QQ,KK and it comes xxxJJ for running trips. Dang! Huge pot which would have put me in 1st and busted two players. One guy busted though (QQ). Anyway, I chip up a little bit shoving and then 4 handed UTG raises and I look at AJcc in BB and shove....there is FE but he eventually calls with 109cc...I like...until the 10 on flop, a 4th place bust for me but between the three finishes 1.3k so I'll take it. I'm in NY visiting family so I don't know I guess I'm on poker vacation, maybe I can get some tournaments in on the weekend. Merry Christmas all!

Well, I played real well today but just ran like death and of my 21 bustouts for no cash I had best had 16 or so of the time, coolered a couple times and worst hand a couple times. I've been playing real good PLO lately so I decided to play the FTP 216$ tourn. I got up to 9k in chips and then this: UTG limps, I make PSB with AKJ10ss and folds all around to UTG who calls. Flop is A,Q,7 rainbow, I bet 2/3 pot after a check and he raises me. This is gross for me because I know he has AQ. So, I decide to shove. I don't know why. I mean I have 9 outs on flop and backdoor flush draw. Anyway, he calls with AQJ5, giving me 8 outs, turn is 8, adding 4 outs. 12 outs but I miss. I guess I was hoping he had A7 or AK7 I'm not sure, maybe a bad play by me, unlucky flop for sure. Ace and two babys easy to just call or fold and not shove. The good news is I took 2nd in UB's weekly OHL for 3k. I'm a little disappointed I didn't get first. Once this guy got the chip lead 5 handed he was just making PSB constantly and playing really aggressive. So we got HU and he doubled me up pretty quickly just making his PSB and not folding to my reshove with a good hand. I hold A3J6 and make PSB and he reraise, I reraise him and he calls. Flop is 4,6,8 and he makes PSB I shove and he calls with 35xx for a st8 draw and weak lo. I feel I'm freerolling on him now, looking for the board to brick out but he turns st8 for chop and the rivers A for scoop. Types "weeeeeeeeeeee" in the chat. That stuff happened to me all day today. Fortunatley I had already made 2nd at that point. I won't go into the other bad beats today. You've heard them all before.
GL out there!
