Online Poker Tournament Rankings

 Bad day to say the least. I'll spare the bad beat stories of the past two days. I did have two deep runs though on Tuesday.

FTP PLO 33$ Rebuy - I ran really hot in this tournament before I left for Cyprus and have been bricking it since. I entered FT pretty short 8/9 and somehow made it to 3 handed against guys who weren't really good PLO players. I had a massive suckout 3 handed when I raised OTB with AQJ5hh. SB calls, BB folds, flop J,6,5r and he insta makes PSB. It was a weird line and threw me off. I've been c-betting almost all of my pre flop raises so why wouldn't he check to me to let me bet if he had something strong? So then I'm thinking he isn't strong and I raise PSB. He sticks the rest in and I'm committed. I call and he shows 554x for bottom set. I river the two out J and double up. Eventually I bust the guy and I'm HU down almost 3:1. I chip up to almost even and then.

I raise PSB OTB with KK66ss, he 3-bets me PSB (I've been make pot size bet for 80% of my button). So then I 4-bet a PSB. He tanks and calls (putting 2/3 his stack in pre) and flop is 984cc and he shoves the rest. I call (400k pot and 100k to call, pretty easy) and he shows 5522cc. He hits the club and gg.

FTP 33$ NL Rebuy - Made the FT and 4 handed.....

UTG raises 2.5x, button folds, I 3-bet from SB for 3x his raise. He shoves, I call, he tables 88 and I show QQ, 8 on the flop gg.

Actually, Thursday same situation in the CAKE $33 NL Rebuy - 8 handed at the Final Table I face an EP raise and I'm in the BB with 1010, I shove and guy tanks/uses time bank and finally calls with 99. 9 on the turn, puke gg. 

Tomorrow is FTOPS PLO 6 Max $535 (I'm 0 for 3 in that) and the $109 rebuy (which I puke busted in 13th this last FTOPS when 88/QQ couldn't fade AQ/AK AIPF in back to back hands....heartbreaking) Lemme run good. I'll try and play good.

 Well, I just tallied my monies for October and ended up in the red. Yesterday was my worst day ever. I played about 3900$ in MTTs and made only 700$. If I took off yesterday I would have been up a measly 1k for the month but obviously I'm not missing all my favorite tournaments on Saturday. You always hear variance being a bitch in MTTs and I feel that is what did me in this month. I'm happy with my play for the most part, although I was letting the outdraws/lost flips/ and coolers affect my attitude. It didn't affect my play as much as it used to but it had some effect I'm sure. I made lots of final 2/3 tables this month but that gets you not much. It's FT and top 3 and I had none of that expect I chopped a Stars 55$ rebuy for 6.2K earlier in the month. I also missed 10 days of October because of no internet at the new place. I had lots of money bubbles as well. I also made some calls I shouldn't have of course in some games. I still have to improve my play and can't chalk everything up to variance. Even if that is the main part of the swing mistakes are the other part. Well FTOPS is coming up hopefully I'll run good in a couple of those tournaments, plug my leaks and hit something nice.

 Been a frustrating week of poker. I'm probably up a little bit so it could have been worse but none the less I needed today off. I was definitely chatting inappropriately and going a little crazy in PLO8 ring games and some MTTs. Losing control pops up from time to time for me. It's more infrequent now than in the past but I obviously still need to work on it.

Aces:

I've had little success with AA and have been running into them a lot. The worst was the Stars 55$ Rebuy.... 45 paid and 46 left. UTG raise, button reraise half his stack. I hold AA in the BB and shove it. Button calls with QQ and spikes it on the flop. Instead of a top 8 stack I'm gone. I don't even make the measly min cash, next time I'll "Stall 101" it and then shove, just in case :).

Aces:

Cake's new 109$ Deepstack. Only 53 runners and 10 paid (WAT!). 4 handed UTG raises and I shove J9o in BB (I have him 2 to 1). He snaps with AA, okay. I chip up and again I'm chip leader. Same guy raise UTG and I ship over him with K10o in SB. He snaps with AA again. 4 realz? Well I haven't got AA all tourney and now I'm HU with a different guy and he raises his button. I finally get AA and shove it and he snaps with QQ and flops a Q. Real.

I have learned something this weak, the hard way twice. I was deep in the FTP 33R (Final two tables) and stars 162$ 50k (Final two tables). FTP rebuy I raise in CO with AKo and button 3 bets it. This is easy reraise and I'm not 4 bet folding so I shove it in. I mean I'm opening in a steal position near FT and he is re-stealing OTB right? Wrong, he tables AA. In the Stars tournament I raise in LP with AQcc and button 3 bets me. Again, just from the situation I think he could be raising me wide and re-stealing near the bubble. I shove and he calls with AKo. For some reason after I OPR the guys and they are both big time losing players. I should have OPR'ed them before I shoved (oops!). Anyway, if a bad player is 3 betting you deep near a FT, he has it, just fold. GL all......

 I'm pissed at poker for the last 3 days. Just haven't been going my way. I'd say 80% of it is me losing standard flips/outdrawn and 20% is poor play (for example I get my AA cracked AIPF at one table and then I'll instantly shove over a raise on another...not good....) So today I tried to play it cool and I'm happy with how I played almost every hand. The one play I question today is this:

FTP PLO 6 Max $216

Blinds 20/40 approx 5k stacks

I raise J1098dd, two callers

Flop K108r giving me bottom two, up/down draw, I bet 2/3 pot and one folds and button calls.

Turn makes it K1084dd giving me the flush draw as well. I check to him and he makes 2/3 pot and I shove PSB. I doubt he is flatting a set on the flop, that would be redonkulous. My raise is so huge that I think he has to fold top/bottom or whatever draw he has. Anyway, he had naked K10xx and was 60% to win on turn. I think my play is okay, I guess his call is okay, I certainly could have just called as the price was easily right and check folded if I missed. I might post that one on 2plus2.
