I thought I played well enough. I bubbled the FTP PLO Rebuy in 19th when UTG raised and I was shorty in BB with AJ10x. I figured I was ahead and he was raising money bubble so I stuck the rest in and he called with QKJx. I held until river. I was short stack in tourn so seemed like a good spot.
UB PLO Rebuy - I accidently double rebuyed (I never do that, but the new Cereus thing threw me off). I always double add on though, I'm glad they kep that. Anyway, a hand I lost a lot of chips on was I limp in LP with naked KK97 and flop, 5handed, is 10,8,2 rainbow, checks to me on button and I bet 2/3 pot. One caller. Turn is a 10. I bet again, repping the ten and the guy minraises me. I know he has the 10 and it seems like a feeler raise, I think it is worth it to call the minraise because I feel I have 10outs. Well, turn is a J giving me the st8 and he 2/3 pot. I don't like but eventually call (worried about J10) and he turns up 810. I guess it worked out for him. I never play top two like this because by letting in check around any 6,7,9,J,Q,K,A is bad for your top two. The only thing you would like to see on turn is an 8 or 10 which is 4 cards in the deck. It worked out for him this time though.
UB 33 Rebuy - Doubled during rebuy, one addon. The power of the c-bet. When I raise in LP and get called by a blind I usually c-bet the pot. Example. I raise on button and SB calls to flop of J,4,7 and I bet 400 into 600. Do my cards matter at this point? Not really, if he calls or raises I can evaluate from there but if he missed flop he is most likely folding. So he folds, very next hand I have AQo and make same raise on cutoff. BB calls this time. Flop is Q,Q,5, very nice. I make same 400 into 600 c-bet even though I just crushed the flop. So now this guy, after seeing me make the same play twice now, decides to call (no doubt in my mind with intention of trying to steal pot...I don't think he has a hand). Turn is J. He checks and I make a weak feeler bet of 800 into 2k pot, trying to let him bluff since I know he wants to. Well, he min raises me. Now, pot is pretty big but again I think he has nothing. So if I shove he has to fold. Should I smooth call? I decide to min raise and play a game with him. He tanks and shoves and I call to see K10, drawing to 4 outs. I hold up and double up. Even though he picked up a st8 draw he floated flop OOP with K high with the intention of trying to steal. My standard c-bet on flop made it difficult to read the strength of my hand because am betting air and the nutz the same way. Anyway, later in tourn I raise EP with KK and get reraised hard by MP. I pretend to tank and shove and he calls with AK and turns the A. 17k pot and I'm gone. I played well though.
Not much to note from the OHR Rebuys - 0 for 4 in those. Just couldn't get the big hands to hold.
Won a little bit playing OHL Ring. Here is the sweetest flop you can get in Omaha. I raise AAKQ double suit and flop is A,J,10 rainbow. I flop nut trips/nut st8 and two back door nut flush draws. I make my min bet (limit) and everyone folds of course but a sweet flop indeed. Happy turkey day all!
