3rd Place actually, I had the chip lead 3 handed and then this:
I raise button AA93ss and BB calls, flop is J108ss, he checks I make PSB. Now the pot is huge, he tanks and calls turn is a 8 and he shoves the rest in. I have to call the rest even though I feel I've been outdrawn, he tables AQJ8 for turned trips. I was 68% on flop and I would have had huge chip lead heads up. That hand crushed me, I shoved a couple times to get some chips then I hold KKJ6 double suit and make PSB on button, same guy calls in BB and flop is 478 rainbow, he checks and I make PSB, (two back door FD's) he shoves a little bit more and I call, he shows AQ45, I'm 55% to win this one but I lose the race. Then that same guy busted really quickly with his huge chiplead before I could close the table to take 2nd. Anyway, good run.
I played the FTP 6 Max terribly. Lesson for the day: Never bluff a calling station. I had just seen this guy call a raise with QQ and call down a ace flop to river trips Q's. Knowing that I raise 1010 UTG and he makes big reraise. This pretty much rules out AA/KK, So I can put him on AK or 8's-Q's I think. Flop is A,8,5dd I check to him and he checks. Now I know he doesn't have AK. Turn is 7 and I bet 2/3 pot, he calls and river is A. I bet 2/3 pot again repping the A and he insta calls with JJ. I could have checked river and he would have checked as well most likely, 1010 has showdown value there and I only lose to QQ,JJ. I tried to bluff him off those hands if he had them and obviously I shouldn't have from previous hand. This was my WORST play in a while: I limp UTG AK (almost always raise it, but active table and I'm looking to reraise. Flop is A,2,3 ok, not bad blinds check and I check to button who is active, looking for a check/raise (again terrible 4 handed, should just bet it), checks to a turn 2, now BB makes 2/3 pot bet. And you know what, I know this guy has a 2. But I flat it with the intention of shoving his river bet. So river is meaningless and he 2/3 pot. I raise almost my entire stack (again thinking AK is not good here, just hoping to bluff a guy off trips). He calls with Q2. I mean, embarrassing to post but I need to post it. I got to let of hands like that. How often can you bluff a guy off trips? I was just pissed at the turn and how I played it and I told myself "I'm still gonna win this pot". Just bad.
PS OHL Rebuy - Had a nice deep run but only worth while cashes are FT and I didn't get there. Played the two PS NOHL Rebuys and played well, got good stacks without even rebuying but one tourn I shove AIPF AA53 and was insta called by a guy with QQ24 and he flops a Q. Strange. I don't remember how I busted the other tourn.
I decided to play OHL Ring again to show myself I had the discipline to not donk it like yesterday. I think for the most part I kept myself in check and came out a winner. Off tomorrow, maybe some OHL Ring for an hour on FTP, when everybody gets off work, that seems to be when the action happens.
Gl all.
